The issue here is you not the game. Therefore I am not ignoring the issue because the reality is the only issue is you and your entitlement.
There has never been solo content in the game ever that rewarded gear like people are asking for. However as the game has progressed solo players have gotten more options to gear.
So what actual content do you want them to add that is going to give you the progression path you want? Iâve played most MMOâs the last decade and off the top of my head I cant remember a system that did what people asking for.
You donât really articulate your reasoning for it though besides baseless claims of foresight as if you alone hold the power to decide this and all detractors of the current system should be silenced.
Iâll give you an example of proper reasoning. Blizzard, presumably, has performance metrics by which they measure the state or heartbeat of the game and can quantify any changes they make. Among these, player engagement metrics are are the forefront based on the premise that the social aspect and group content drives player retention. Because of this specific metric, said content is granted the largest path of progression while solo content is hard capped to funnel players into group content and thus improve performance metrics.
I donât know how true this is, but itâs a reasonable argument to make than âit is so, so shall it beâ. However, in response to the above, I would say the solo / casual player bases is justified in their feedback stating such metrics are exclusionary. Performance metrics are just a measurement however, player retention is the goal. If their measurements are not accurately tracking the pulse of a significant portion of the player base, then such feedback cannot be ignored by them nor the community as a whole.
Yeah you keep thinking that as game continues to be sucked further into oblivion.
Because thatâs literally how the game is designed. Itâs how itâs been designed since beta.
Like seriously how hard is this for you to comprehend?
Thatâs rather arrogant. Truth is, having all players at roughly the same lvl gear at the end of an expansion would make it easier for Blizzard to make challenging content for all players at the start of a next expansion.
As for any outrage by mythic players, well, by the end of the expansion I doubt anyone would give a crap who has what lvl gear or how they got it. Mythic (and high level PvP for that matter) will still get the high lvl gear first and therefore have it the longest (probably with set bonuses for their favorite content) but that doesnât mean high item lvl gear is theirs exclusively.
TL/DR: Think of it as a marathon, Yes the best get there first but, eventually, everyone ends up in the same place.
Then Blizzard faces a simple choice.
Adapt or perish.
I do comprehend the current state of the game. Everyone on this forum understands the state of the game which is why the thread was created in the first place. Why is it so hard for you to comprehend that feedback is meant for change not more of the same?
And while I donât expect you to speak for the development team, if you disagree with why such feedback is faulty, the onus is on you to elaborate your position regarding the proposal, not to hide behind the status quo.
Because neither of us are in a position to make material changes on this topic, the best we can really do is not disparage otherâs opinions and promote actual conversation.
Youâre allowed to be wrong Itâs okay that some good gear drops from world mobs at a rare rate as long as it isnât the only way to get good gear
I know. I think thatâs part of the problem. Bring back world content!
The game is just designed around group content. Join a guild that has a weekly heroic reclear. Youâre spending more time in LFR than that would take and youâll get much better stuff.
More cringe by the day.
And you keep pretending to be a casual.
Just realize youâre a small minority.
If you had things your way no-one would say anything bad until the ship had sunk and youâre neck deep in water.
But Iâm not wrong. Itâs ok though. I understand you have a very small understanding of how this game works.
Though no less true considering the circumstances that surround them today.
Dude is far from casual. He spends at least 10 hours a day just on the forum, thatâs not even the game. He might only do casual content but he spends enough time here to raid lead 4 mythic raid teams.
I think a few of you are too obsessed over me.
Itâs like you worship the ground at my feet.
Your confusing design for state of the game.
The design hasnât changed since launch. Group content will award better gear than solo content. Dont like it? then find a new game because its honestly not going to change to cater a couple of bad/lazy players
He doesnt even do casual content. He is just trolling. No one is this unedcuated.
