That is completely beside the point I was making.
We are talking effort vs reward. When you can get full 415 by spamming 2’s plus the addition of the 418 crafted gear with trinkets like the jc one only being about 200 dps lower than the icon for a majority of the classes of course raid participation numbers are going to drop.
The above is fine but there is a disconnect between m+ and raiding currently that blizzard should address and the first thing they should be looking at is how lockouts function.
They always nerf things later in a season so people can get it in that didn’t have it. This isn’t new.

If nerfs are indicative of low population then mythic+ has nobody doing it (obviously untrue) because the dungeons have been getting nerfed weekly for months despite already being easier than raiding.
There is a reason mythic is set at 20, so that they only have to tune the fight to that one number and not 10, 11, 12, 13, etc…
Plus, if flex were applied to mythic, there would be a magic number range or multiple number ranges that would be ideal as opposed to others for each boss (as was the case when flex was first introduced in MoP and I imagine it still is now)
There are guilds out there with over 100 wipes on heroic Raz who are only getting her to 60%. I think some of the nerfs are aimed towards those guilds where heroic really is their end game. Guilds that have been wiping on Raz for over a month…
