Why must I PvE to do better in PvP? 😡

The game has been like this from day 1, I didn’t see anything different happening in classic.

It is unrealistic to expect it will change now when it has been like this for most of all the years of its existence.

When pve’ers have not clue what they are talking about they make up the past

Uh… this happens. Deal with it. In MoP, we had to pvp for our cloaks.

Boo hoo two whole unrated rando bgs for a BiS legendary. Not even remotely the same thing. If I could do 2 random 5-man dungeons for BiS pvp gear I’d be all over it.

No one is forced. Run rated BGs or arena and push rating for higher gear.

We’ve gone over this, after all the pvp you have done which I now see is a ton 200 RBGs already your gear is bad. You have wrong stats, middle of the road ilvl and your gear is somehow still 50/50 pvp/pve gear. That’s a crazy amount of effort and time to still be behind the curve.
If you were trying to be competitive at all, you could have done less than half that and that effort would have easily got you top of the line gear correct stats and finished the important essences you haven’t ranked up.

Now if you aren’t trying to be competitive and just enjoy structured BGs that’s fine but to tell anyone trying to be competitive to do that is crazy.

Unlike some who post here, I know that I’m pretty much at the rating I should be at. Gear isn’t stopping me from being “competitive” in this bracket.

And it is possible to gear up solely from pvp btw

It literally is, if you had more gear you would be much higher rating, get accepted into the higher mmr groups and then hopefully keep improving and get higher rating with your gear not being the bottleneck and being a drain on your group. It’s not about having an advantage on everyone its about trying to level the playing field to actually have a competitive match.

Nothing wrong with just enjoying being in a structured BG with players and a little coordination. But you keep claiming its actually a viable alternative to be competitive when you clearly aren’t trying or care to be.

That’s good if you have a group of like minded people that don’t care about your gear and just enjoy playing together.
That doesn’t scream competitive however, so how can you tell others trying to be competitive that it is a viable route for gear when you’re still using half pve even after all the pvp you have done?

If PvErs had to do PvP to get gear to actually be able to PvE…people would be going absolutely bat shiete crazy, like it would be insane.

For some reason every time this topic comes up they like to pretend nobody really wants to be competitive or push rating and that they should just accept whatever they have now. As if people don’t try to improve and as if gear isn’t an enormous part of improving in BFA.

Not everybody wants to muck around at 1600, but if your gear looks like hers you probably aren’t getting many partners to push beyond it. Look at the vid pika/trill did. They’ve gone to Blizzcon and still only got to 2k in just PvP gear. The average player won’t get even close to that with just PvP gear.

I’m honestly livid how developers of this game continuously believe that it’s a good idea to have players commit to doing PvE content to do better in PvP.

If anything he’s the poster child of how pvp gearing sucks, he has done a massive amount of pvp already which is fine but his gear is barely better than world quests and is still half pve.

Uh, what? Sounds to me like you want a free pass into PvP content just because you raid. Maybe people should PvP to do PvP, like we did in the past.
