Remember when Twilight made werewolves popular again and Blizzard suddenly announced the Worgen to WoW out of nowhere with a bunch of retcons and a rushed model on Cataclysm?
Well, I got 3 words for you: Alita Battle Angel

Gilgoblins and Mechagnomes are both examples of races taking racial professions(alchemy and Mekkaengineering) to an extreme. It will interesting to see our new aquatic and mechanical friends in the future.
As long as the gnomes stay on Alliance, adding them is fine
These are customization options nothing more. If these are the next Allied races I will up and quit for good. Total garbage.
I donāt know about that.
I mean, I could definitely imagine a WoW Barbershop removing a Gnomeās limbs and replacing them with mechanical prosthetics butā¦ Somehow I canāt picture the barbershop attaching the old flesh limbs back in case the Gnomes change their mindsā¦
Keep in mind that if the trend continues as usual, there will be 4 new allied races next expansion. 2 of which will with an almost guarantee not be goblins and gnomes.
Sheās not a gnome though.
sounds legit
Iām sure blizz was in contact with the studios 3 years ago and wanted toons based on a mediocre movie and built BFA to support it.
Just like the Worgen are the closest WoW has to werewolves, Mechagnomes are the closest it has to cyborgs.
This is true. Donāt you just want to steal one of their arms and hold it above their heads?
WoW doesnāt need to contact the studio for mechagnomes any more than they needed to contact the Indiana Jones people to make Uldum lol
No wayā¦ NO WAY!
Nice find!
ok. Of course IJ came out in 83? and is culturally relevant. But youāre probably right. They probably saw a trailer and weāre like ,āLetās add garbage gnomes and completely rebuild this expansion thatās in progress to hop on a trend we see comingā. Blizz has always been super agile in their development process.
Except the movie wasnāt very popular. Not to Twilight levels anyway. It is doubtful that Disney will approve a sequel.
Pffft! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Aquatic sea tinkers would also be quite neat.
I thought mechagnomes predated actual gnomes though? I thought actual gnomes were made from mechagnomes through the curse of flesh?? Actually Iām almost positive this is right. Mirmiron is one of the original mechagnomes predating the cruse of flesh.
Well these things are different from full machine mechagnomes. Junker gnomes is their less cannon name. I am not sure how long these ones have been around.
I feel dumb for never thinking of this.
