Why LGBT representation in games matters:

I missed it too
To be honest I missed the deer unicorn one too
I guess I miss some quest narrations

I mean that’s cool I guess. I’m just surprised about it is all. I mean given how the questline is set up I didn’t see much of anything that wasn’t necrolords based.

I missed the deer unicorn too until right at the end…

Felt like i was doing another Tyranade/malf storyline, and i kinda zoned out, only at the last second it clicked.

I love reading quests and seeing dialog but its gotten to a point where I’m just kind over it. I’m like “give me my objective and go away”

The way they handled it does make sense in a necrolords sense, since being clever is a real useful thing

Would the margrave care more that you killed a student of KT, or that you killed their consort?

Now whatever the lich guys name is forever has an ace in his sleeve to keep the player in check cuz good chance the margrave could obliterate us

Same. After valsharas cringe fest I tend to zone out anything that even smells of romance

She is a powerful lich.

Now that you remind me. I was blackmailed lol

We 100% were, and it fits Maldraxxus so well

That’s why it’s my favorite one

Blizzard represents the LGBT Community with their other game platforms aplenty. Why does WoW need to be singled out for having to include them? It won’t somehow make the game better, it will still be an MMORPG, and they will still be hit-or-miss characters regardless. If anything, Blizzard Entertainment will be even more scrutiny for misrepresenting (somehow) an LGBT+ character.

Representation in video games only means black and LGBT now.

I’m mexican. Where’s Carlos Screwriguez of Gnomeregan

Who eventually won.

I don’tg think anyone actually cares about the sexuality of a fictional character. What bugs me is this FORCED version of diversity where something seems unnatural for the story for the sake of real life public poilitics.

The Last of Us 2? Completely ruined. Gotta make sure the main protagonist is gay, and a young beefed out woman beats the straight white male, on which is a beloved character in the franchise, with a golf club in the head until his brains spill all over the floor.

Politics are ruining video games, specifically social politics.

At the risk of responding to a troll thread, I think the quality of representation matters more than quantity.

If Baine and Thrall after their many years together fell in love and laid the pipe. Cool, love who you love. But if a character is screaming how gay they are from the mountain tops and never really does anything else? Probably better not to bother. It comes down to how tasteful the representation is, just like it is for everything else.

Screaming “We need gay characters!” is fine until you get what you’re asking for and they’re gay, but that’s all they are.

I am surprised you would ask something so insensitive when the topic is about the rights of LGBT community.

Here is an idea…

You can RP the characters in wow any way you want. LGBT whatever. Any of the main characters. Then they can fit whatever agenda you have! Voila!

What that I ask how you are able to get away with a name people have been calling a racist name for the last year?

I would of called that name out in any thread.

Now do I agree with doing away with the Aunt Jemima Brand . No but I do think after all that has happened anyone that would use that name (Jemima ) is most likely a troll and trying to find ways to bait and trigger people.

Maybe since there are already multiple instances of LGBT representation already with Pelegos, the Elk and unicorn in Arden Weald and the Leader of the House of Rituals and her favorite consort in Maldraxxus maybe you are the person we should be pushing for to have more representation .

Ok what do you supposed LGBT people think ? You got 3 things to represent you he has only 1 . Should we push for more representation for him ?

No one is denying that it does matter, but for some reason. The wow LGBTQ community can be given a cookie-like the other social issues, but y’all will demand a whole cake while some of us are still on our cookie. Y’all also tend to take away from everyone else’s social issue, it is not a competition I promise y’all.

Also as a person of color, if I saw posts about my issues like this, I would tell them to tone it down and let the other issues have their moment.
