It was a made up name, made up character with no relation to the business owner. They (a non black business) profited off the black community/image. It was racist, they dropped the name. It was a prime example of bad cultural appropriation.
As for op! I absolutely appreciate the lgbt stuff/characters in-game. Hope we see more in blizzard games to the point where people stop complaining about them someday. Maybe a good new generation can normalize it.
