Sadly, Blizzard isn’t going to do much of this because Russia and China are actually somehow more intolerant than the US is, and would ban the game for having any major acknowledgement of LGBT anything.
I would guess that our stag couple was localized to either not be a couple or one of them is a woman in those countries.
