I agree, its all mental… And here in lies the issue, one cannot force society to accept you are what you think you are. We happen to think using logic, and this defies it.
Now if you want to say I am a Trans Man, or Trans Woman thats fine with me. But one cannot become what they are not.

If you can’t accept that you’re free to not play or just simply ignore it. We’re in 2021, progressive mindset is the gold standard.

No. You never heard complaints before this because LGBTQ+ personalities and characters are starting to become more common, and people hate being challenged with their own bigotry because they’d rather live in ignorance.
If an LGBTQ+ character is in the game and part of their background/story is that they’re gay, that doesn’t really affect you so long as the story is good, so I don’t really know why it should bother you. We’ve seen heterosexual relationships at the forefront for almost every expansion in some capacity, and it was seemingly never an issue then.
But uh oh, Blizzard added a transgender character who’s actually semi-important, which means they must be forcing their leftist agenda on us!!!

For the rare few individuals with diagnosed gender dysphoria social/physical transition is sometimes helpful (though some research has shown adverse psychological outcomes - there aren’t many robust studies in this area yet).
Where the issue comes in for many is:
A) The idea that a trans woman = woman in all situations. There is a difference between being sensitive to those with dysphoria and blindly pretending that biological reality must be ignored. As I have mentioned above, in certain scenarios this attitude poses risk to trans individuals themselves and other groups.
B) The idea that EVERYONE has to also alter their perception of reality, purely to please a tiny minority of people, some of whom do not even have diagnosed gender dysphoria (or self-ID as it is also known). All this serves to do is alienate people and stir up trouble.
Not many people are going to look at what people like Karen White (UK) and Danielle Muscavato do and agree that a blanket ‘anyone who says they are a woman are literally one for all purposes’ is a good idea.

I don’t hate anyone but those that want to harm me and or my family. I am not ignorant or an LGBT hater. I am a Heterosexual man, that uses logic for my thinking.
I have been hit on often by Gay Men, I tell them sorry I am not gay and they laugh it off and say something like you sure??? I have no issue with it at all.
I do not know any trans people, to my knowledge and as long as they didn’t try to label me and vilify me as you have done, I would have no issue with them either.

I think most people’s problem with how LBGTQ+ representation is presented, is that it is often irrelevant to the story. Hell, in real life it’s often irrelevant. I don’t care if X character is a gay Dwarf Shaman when it relates to WoW, and I don’t care if I’m hiring a gay Engineer, if all that matters is the Engineer part. Who you sleep with is largely irrelevant. When someone points out that they’re LBGTQ+ in a context that has no relevance to the circumstance, it’s always going to come across like they have an agenda, or a chip on their shoulder.
Unfortunately this is what stalls civil discourse in this Country, all to often groups listen and then become enraged when the opposing view is not changed to their liking.
And its wrong! No matter what other people think, its what you think that matters… You will never ever ever get everyone to think the same and the premise of even trying to do so leads me to believe another issue is at play here.

Calm down, sure maybe if you devised some kind of mutation serum you could in theory mutate someone into something, or if you had cybernetic implants you could remove certain parts or swap total bodies.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the reason people dislike LGBT groups is because they had to make this half-assed fantasy assed dressup/hormone therapy brigade and say “We are different human beings! Because we practice this type of sexuality!”
I don’t care what fancy pants science garbage you throw into things, but people are sentient, and can prefer things. People are capable of doing anything, it truly does not change what they are down to their core, even between the sexes of our species we are still sentient INDIVIDUALS.

It’s funny because they complain about these threads and then keep taking the bait. They just can’t help themselves when saying no to anything LGBT+ related - So the threads thrive.
Blizzard should ban the people constantly bringing up issues about Sexuality in a General Forum for a Fantasy video game for the sole purpose to be seen and cry for attention.
