No they do not. I explained it already. I can hang out with brunettes, doesn’t mean I want to hear complaints about how blondes have more fun.
War and genocide in the story do not represent anything. Blizzard literally toted their new LGBTQ story as representation. Players are asking for more representation. There have already been non straight characters in the game long before this. Never heard any complaints before this because it’s not just supposed to be organic and a part of the story. It’s a token.
Look, I only respond to those who make ignorant comments (I’m responding to one now). Yes I did make an assumption, but it’s an educated assumption based on their responses.
You are saying add a gay character because it defines who they are and we are going add a character and being gay is just a part of who they are and not defines who they are.
No, you’re not making an educated assumption. You’re making an ignorant one. As well as a couple ignorant assumptions. Make a cogent argument against his stances, or you’re no better than what you’re claiming him to be.
I understand that, but its a very rare scenario and also Hermaphrodites… But one cannot preclude an entire movement of Feelings to be part of a specific group to be related to those 2 rarities.
They could write that but it would also make it less believable(not that WoW does long lived races terribly well).
My point was mostly that realistically(and yes, this matters to a point even in a fantasy setting where I can shoot lightning from my hands) speaking a long lived race is just going to have an extremely low sex drive and probably view sex and romantic relationships in general very differently from how we Humans do.
Which personally I’d find more interesting than “They’re as sex crazed as us, but mostly gay/bi”.
We already did that with the Asari in Mass Effect and even old school BioWare couldn’t make that not feel like pandering.
Swiping a broad brush against any group of people makes the artist sound really ignorant. It was a mistake to say it. Admit it and we can all move forward.
