In addition to the HC leveling challenge fun, you can look forward to grouping, running dungeons, and making friends with the other level 60 HC players and know that they will have similar positive qualities (i.e. maturity, patience, perseverance, focus, and gamer ability).
That alone makes me want to get to 60 HC and then group up and run with other 60 HC players. It’s an accomplishment that excludes toxic players, trolls, griefers, immature forum brats, and lazy players. I can’t wait.
Another benefit of running with other 60 HC, you know they have sufficient resources and technical prowess to invest in good internet connectivity and hardware.
HC is sounding more and more like a cult everyday.
True and devastating, sort of like being the unlucky person stepping on a land mine with your squadron as soon as you “touch land”, as you said “stuff happens”. Hopefully, it can be sorted about with an appeal.
However, the remaining members of your HC group should be more than capable to deal with that situation and the odds of that bad luck occurring now at level 60 in a group situation and not during their 1-60 journey is probably a lot lower than most.

This is an interesting idea to consider. I would like PvP battlegrounds to be allowed because as you pointed out, PvP will be completely DEAD otherwise.
Just think about how PURE the economy is going to be. OMG. I will have to have multiple profession alts and that will be difficult to achieve HC. Auction House is going to be a blast. Professions and gold are going to incredibly relevant.

I have never seen any of these qualities in a “hardcore” player.
“Gamer ability” meanwhile I can see streams of HC players that have no more than 4 keybinds bound and clicking health pots

It isn’t anywhere. Because it isn’t a real achievement.
So you’re telling me that I get to look forward to grouping with others and running dungeons after spending like 200+ hours of not being able to group and being limited to doing each dungeon once… Alright then.
Also, just because someone got 60 doesn’t mean they’re skilled, doesn’t mean they’re not toxic, it doesn’t mean anything other than they spent X amount of time leveling. This is like getting GM, it doesn’t say anything about skill, it’s simply how much time you’ve invested.

The HC addon has it. I have found high level HC players to be reliably skilled and the type of player I would be confident grouping with in hazardous situations, versus people who make claims about things that they have no experience with.
Go agane and pick your team better next time.
