I’m gonna try to continue my Shadowstrike toon to 60 without dying. I don’t care about the rest of the stupid rules that some cryhards made up. I’m about to ding 40.
Then you’re doing a 1 one life. Not a hardcore, or even an ironman.
yes, but very infrequently
and when DCs do happen, they have to be at a very inopportune time for them to cause a death
all in all, the fear of DC death, while understandable, is overblown
What’s your point?
I’ve got a couple on Mankrik that I leveled to 10 and picked up the SoI buff on seasonal that I still need to get to 60. They won’t be using the addon and will group normally for dungeons and group quests. Should be interesting trying to make 60 while playing with the normies.
That really doesn’t matter, most games that are hardcore just require not dying. Besides, it’s his challenge, not someone else’s. If he achieves his goal it’s all good.
That youre in a thread about hardcore and remarking how you arent playing hardcore just because you wanna feel special.
He is playing standard hardcore, the addon rules and Ironman rules are in addition to the standard rules.
I’m really sorry to trigger your need rage.
Posts in a hardcore thread.
Doesnt even play hardcore
Calls people playing hardcore “cryhards” for following the ruleset.
Dang bruz.
Hey, if you want to pay for sub and let some cryhard tell you how to play, that’s fine.
I’m gonna hit 60 on one life, and that’s an achievement. Besides, Diablo 3 seems to think that’s enough. Folks group up and trade crap all the time in that game.
Please tell that to the datacenter servers that I manage and have for the past decade who have lived long uninterrupted zero-downtime lives.
But to the point, this sums it up nicely.
You do realize that data centers and internet connections are a bit different, yeah?
So… getting to level 60 hardcore is wortg it because you get to play the game? Its literally the same thing as if you didnt olay HC but got to 60. What the heck are these posts? I dont get it.
Totally unrelated technology concepts. At home, I’m still using a dial-up modem.
But yeah occasional disconnects, but as has been pointed out they are rare and the concern is overblown by masses.
Why do you add that emote to almost every post?
I will say this on behalf of those weird folks… The “meta” was usually to level as fast as possible. So many people rushed to hit 60 at launch that they skipped the game. They either followed quest guides or they formed groups to grind out dungeons the whole way. If you’re leveling on your own and trying not to die, you will be seeing a lot more of Azeroth. You might even take the time to read the quests!
REAL hardcore leaves scrolling quest text on
Scrolling quest text?
In your settings there is an option to make the text for your quests appear slowly as if being written/spoken instead of having it all pop up instantly when you click the quest giver.
I’ve been doing this for 16 years. Died many times along the way and we got quite a chuckle from those deaths.
