Why isnt there a greater outcry?!

i really honestly just want 1 wrath server. i don’t hate cata, i just don’t want to play it. it is honestly 100% because of the world/zone/environment changes. i know that vanilla and sod exist to scratch that itch, but it isn’t the same without blood elves and northrend. idk, i’m not bent out of shape about it, i’m just a little sad and disappointed that like 15 years later, i have to say goodbye to the world i’ve come to love again.

I agree with you on the writing on the wall thing. Although some of us are still trying to keep things going.

I mean, it was undeniably the most fun I ever had in wow was in wrath of the lich king. Wrath never really gained any growth of players either. But it kept people subbed during the duration of the experience. I remember so many people playing.

At the same time, blizzard runs the game like this now, where there is always going to be a huge burst of activity. And then it will just die out in like 3 months. That is just how the community is now. Wow has such a high turn over rate. It is worse than a fast food place lol.

Now, people like me would love to stay in a permanent wrath version of the game. At the same time, I don’t want to accept defeat.

Aye, I’m getting my Shadowmourne tonight so some of us are still trying and I’m actually surprised my guild of dads and misfits still manage to raid every week.

But it certainly is getting harder and you definitely notice server pops and pug activity going down.

Hell, I would’ve been open to playing Cataclysm if they made genuinely good changes to it, but so far all they’ve announced is that they’re keeping with the titan runed dungeons which wasn’t exactly my favorite thing in Wrath classic, putting it mildly.

Splintering the community into several tiers of dungeons to benefit like 15 people who enjoy it as their endgame will always seem really stupid to me.

I dunno. I would be completely invested into reading about classic updates if they would just provide permanent wrath classic server options. It was the only thing I wanted since classic wow was announced back in 2017 or whatever. And I still feel the same way about retail. I do wish classic wow 1-60 content would come back for chromie time.

Until blizzard adds permanent options for wrath classic servers. I don’t care about classic or retail. I never really ask for anything. And I wish blizzard would give me what I want this one time.

You realize at this point the people clamoring for eternal Wrath servers are…you. That’s about it. And a couple people responding to your posts. If we stop feeding you, these threads die.

I know the feeling and that’s part of my disappointment to Wrath classic and why I’m not pushing ultra hardcore to get Era servers.

We played classic and TBC as they were originally, and then suddenly when it’s my game up they make all these weird changes ;(

Yah zaalg. They sure would zaalg. At the same time, I still exercise my right to complain about how we need permanent wrath classic era servers. And just because there are few of us, and we are the smaller audience. Doesn’t mean we should quit or just stop posting about it.

I mean, the permanent wrath classic server audience is smaller. So. I will keep complaining until I get what I want.

I’ve come to dislike the titan rune dungeons so I’m not sad to see this iteration go.

I’m someone who enjoys “beating” dungeons - for a similar reason I don’t enjoy M+

They’re continuing this in Cataclysm.

Yes, sadly they are. They learned nothing from Wrath Classic.

And these Titan dungeons are completely unnecessary in Cata. The dungeons already are harder. RDF and its rewards existed from the start. The system was built to keep dungeons relevant throughout Cata (which they were). But Blizz is obsessed with this e-sport crap where content has to scale as you get stronger. Can’t have content get easier through an expansion! Not even dungeons.

All it will do is promote toxicity and gatekeeping.

I don’t hate titan dungeons however I agree with you that it is unnecessary in Cata.

How’s that, now?

I understand why Blizz put them in. I am not a huge fan, but I did run them to the point where I no longer stepped a foot in them again (unless it was to help guildmate or friend).

People just didnt start playing older versions of wow in 2019 maybe thats when most of you guys did.

I don’t think thats true

I don’t understand Blizzard here unfortunately. Cata dungeons are already hard enough and they kept releasing new ones with better gear.
In mop its fine.

I think they kept doing this to try to keep them relevant.
I do recall when WoTLK dropped originally - dungeons stayed same and never changed. The new ICC ones were awesome because they were not the same old dredge.

So, I think Blizzard added the alpha, beta, gammas to help keep them a bit more fresh. Now whether that worked or not is a different story, but I am not a giant fan of them…they are OK at best.

I’m not saying anything against this. However, the difference is that Wrath dungeons were so laughably easy that you just rushed them with Ulduar gear already. They were completely useless and you basically just did the new ones that came with togc and icc.
In cata the dungeons are hard enough to be played for multiple tiers with them being ridiculous hard on release.
It makes no sense to me to give them “harder modes”.
Again, for mop it makes sense as the dungeons suffer the same issue as wrath.

I think someone stated that they were releasing nerf’d Cata dungeons (might have been you who said it)…not sure if that is accurate or not but I was kind of hoping not.

As far as I know they have never stated that. The only thing they said is that they are unsure.
