Also if it wasn’t obvious, I’m not saying remove gear in the sense of our chars have no gear for pvp.
I’m saying remove the gear gap by allowing a tournament vendor for pvp where you can get whatever pieces you want, with whatever stats, with whatever bonuses, etc for free (or i dont even care make them cost honor), but they need to be bis (over pve gear as well).
Grinding for gear is definitely not a PVE concept. It’s an RPG concept. PVE concepts are like operating demos and running bombs to take down walls or killing a boss like Van in AV or Trem in Ashran to win the match.

I’m not sure if you’re aware of other games out there, but do a quick comparison between pvp games and non pvp games and see if you can find anything interesting.
I guarantee you implement this concept to PVE of scaling it would be removed within a day because of the whining and rightfully so. Whats the point in playing a game without any type of progression? Good way to kill a game that’s for sure.

the blitz brawl is scaled and its the only time in wow history bgs have worked this way. if you’re not taking advantage of it why are you even here.

im talking about actual scaling up. using a few blue timewalking gear pieces with all the secondary stats alloted into one i had 45% vers. the blitz is the only battleground in the history of wow where actual scaling up is happening. thats all im trying to say.
players who want to min/max for real can do it in the blits.

Min maxing is getting the best gear possible, not doing timewalking for gear to just be 13 ilvls too low
45% vers is so far off of “min maxing” it blows my mind
glass cannon builds are min/maxing.

you can wear 3 seperate 2 piece tier sets ffrom last season and they scale up to 2 ilvls below the honor set in the brawl.
the “entire expansion” with bg scaling was a template based off your toons ilvl. it wasn’t scaling.

You’re saying you like to pick and choose your stats, that’s totally fine.
That’s not min-maxing though
Min maxing would be making your own calculators and 3d graphs to perfectly map your stat priority based off of logs you feed it to make your playstyle as strong as possible, then doing PVE to get the max ilvl gear and tier sets week 1

i was just playing around with gear in my bags to get 45% vers. it can be done with any stat you choose and as many slots you care to switch out. keeping the trinket stam/mainstat bonus is probably worth keeping but some of these pve trinkets , even garbo quest rewards, when scaled up to 472 hit like a ton of bricks.
all im saying is the blitz is the most customizable bg ever im not sure why you feel the need to argue this fact.
as the season progresses and more conquest items are factored into each game this type of gearing wont be viable but i think its pretty neat.twinking at max level who would have thought!

lol but im not making anything up Bri. most players are too tunnel vision to notice changes like this. the blits brawl works this way with scaling(actual scaling not a template) and its the first time its ever been like this.
