I don’t know how I named my shaman. I usually just hit random generator a couple of times and she what pops.

First time i read it , i assumed a Trickster but an orc who does the tricks…nvm

i can tell, that’s the weirdest name ive ever heard

Feminine form of ‘Ciruelo’ and I liked the name. It’s nowhere near troll accurate but c’est la vie. My favorite painter is Ciruelo Cabral.

I came up with this name after seeing someone else with something with a similar mouth feel. Apparently i’m very unoriginal because a lot of other people also have this name.

My evoker, on the other hand, Avyrax, is completely original. Nobody else is named that.

Every name I’ve ever made in this game other than this one has been either hitting Random in-game and then slightly messing with vowels / getting rid of excessive syllables or doing the same thing with a 3rd party name generator (since WoW’s tends to loop names fairly quickly).

This one I think was the same kinda thing but I threw something into an anagram generator or something and slammed some things together. I don’t remember what I put into it. Probably included my old BNET name though (which was lifted from a song), otherwise there’s no way there’d be a V anywhere.

I guess I had a Paladin named Tori (no alt codes, on a full pop realm!) and that was just me trying some normal names that I liked. I did have an alt code on that one originally but this was back when GMs could free up names for you if they were inactive, so at some point a GM changed my name to the same thing without the alt code for free. I retired the character from RP at the end of WoD and name changed it to signify that though, so I don’t have any common names like that anymore.

It is funny when other medical professionals or chemistry professionals will pick up on the play of spelling of my name

Clocklock

gnomes are tinkers and inventers, a clock is time and a invention. Rogues at least back in vanilla required timing for interrupts and cc to stay alive.

Lock, lockpicking, but if I remember correctly warlocks usually use my name go figure.

Other names are spin offs of other stuff like Ozmora is a spin off of Ozma from Wizard of Oz. Same with Naniea being a spin off of Narnia book series.

Found vulpera cute but when I went to think of a name I drew blanks…so I went for a cute name to hide her less than cute job description. It just kinda flowed from there as I went for a word that seemed to rhyme with Foxy and even made a little jingle about it about how she’s just a cute foxy named Moxie…but then it kinda ran into an issue as I tried to continue with attempting to rhyme pockets and stabbing locks but only way to do so came out picking pocks and stabbing locks… and yeah not my finest work. Just think the cat from Shrek…she can be cute but deadly and you got my vulpera’s behavior to a point

so…funny story…I wanted a sorta… asian themed named but didn’t realize Kasumi supposedly means Mist till after I made her and I’m not a mistweaver. I just wanted to match her with a name that may be fitting for the setting pandaren had back then. Really do need to get back to playing this gal at some point.

I created this character name in 1998. It’s rooted in Cym “Welsh” Tyr “God of War” so loosely “Welsh Warrior” even though as an older adult I’ve discovered I’m more Scottish than Welsh.

I wanted to make a name that sounded like a classic Victorian era Steampunk name, while also befitting a Mechagnome. So I mixed the character Tik-Tok, a mechanical clockwork man, from Return to Oz (so Clock), mixed with a British sounding name, Bosworth. Clock + Worth = Clockworth.

I also leveled Archeology to unlock the Professor title. So in-game name looks like Professor Clockworth.

I enjoyed reading your post :robot:
