Yes exactly, and the vast majority of the population doesn’t even do mythic at all or at best 3/8 and yet is obsessive about grinding to 70 for no reason.
What else is there to do, exactly? They gutted professions, PVP is an absolutly embarrassing joke, world content is barren and the game promotes mythic+/raiding over everything else.
Unless you’re going to try and tell me that the game is good because we can just hang out in Orgrimmar/Stormwind all day or run content from older expansions, stop now. That’s the progression, that’s what people aim for. So of course, people playing the game don’t like these many hoops they have to jump through just to be well off.
My number one regret is not starting with a fury warrior. At least most Legion classes - while overly simplified - were kinda fun in the “my god I’m so overpowered” sense.
I’m was too attached to my Hunter. I didn’t like the gameplay since it was so simplistic, but it turned out to be a good thing since I had to take up the RL role for Mythic progression. It allowed me to pay attention to others while not having to worry about my own rotation. Somehow BFA made me miss Legions gameplay…
Same here, my survival hunter was my main until palace, where I swapped back to my shelved mage. I like survival, but hated the other two specs too much.
Heck, I used to maintain an elemental shaman alt, but have since given up. Essences are too much of a pain.
In a world where most people have some type of speedboost they thought warlock should be able to move around like a person on the cart at Walmart unless you Talent into something that kills yourself.
And how I’m either good at single Target or multi-target yet there many classes that can do both easily without gutting themselves.
Blizzard will have to fix a lot of the issues and Shadowlands but with the current class designer I don’t have high hopes.
Mmmmnot really. Now that they’ve added the AP grind you pretty much have to do content that gives ample amounts of AP. The easiest place to grind being World Quests and Island Expos which are boring slogfests imo. Not to mention Warfronts which in the early game gives a free Heroic piece.
And honestly, what’s wrong with players just doing the Conquest cap or Raid logging? It should be their choice if that’s what they want to do while having content for others that extends past that. They have the right idea with the Covenants system having actual cool armor, but the brakes stop when it’s yet another character progression system done through World Quests. Seeing that the new abilities that you’ll be using in both Raids and Instanced PvP exist there.
And some slow grind items meant to passively increase your power over the course of a patch that the OCD players farm 24/7 for some reason. Just like AV in classic right now.
You can still raid log right now if you want. You just will be slightly less powerful than people actually playing the game.
Except it’s not just gear, and it’s not just specific pieces. It’s random drops that forge high enough with the right stats, it’s essences that are entirely seperate from these listed forms of content at times. I know you’re trying to push a narrative, but it’s not going to work here.
