Unless Blizzard brings back “Evil is a Point of View”… who in their right mind is going to spec into this?
Agree that a bit too much is in the class tree that should be baseline. Both auras and blessings being in the class tree as well is a bit much, imo. The left side is designed very awkwardly for Retribution as you are giving up a lot of damage to try to go down that way.
I’m not surprised HoJ is in the tree as well.
I actually wanna know what we even have baseline, CS, Judgment, Consecration?
If it was instant cast and also worked on beasts and elementals I could see it as an interesting PvP talent to deal with companions

HOJ is not in the tree, I’m pretty sure it is baseline.
Every class has some niche crowd control that’s in their tree.
They did the same with the Priest Tree with Shackle Undead being a talent choice. You also need to talent into Cleanse Disease, Dispel Magic, Mass Dispel, and Power Infusion.
By my calculations, sense undead (woo yeah), crusader strike, judgment, templar’s verdict, shield of the righteous, divine shield, redemption, hammer of justice, hand of reckoning, flash of light, and word of glory.
I suspect some of those may only be baseline for some specs and not others, otherwise holy getting templar’s verdict is cool I guess.
Yeah again it’s like a the one thing I can see there’s too many actual skills in the tree Like crusader strike for example Divine storm now I would really love it if they would get rid of holy power but I don’t think blizzards willing to go through that type of redesign.
I’d say for me it depends on the dungeons. Turn Evil was really useful in plaguefall (1st and 2nd boss, defenders, etc) and can sometimes be useful against spiteful (not so much in Mists where combat holds you in place in the maze). It’ll probably be one I skip, unless there are some good places to use it in the new dungeons.

It’s niche but really good in pvp vs demo lock right now(with the conduit lol)
Great for very specific bosses or dungeons, like Plaguefall. Less useful in raids but if you’re running low numbers in heroic, you can actually solo CC two of the mobs on Anduin for example with Repentance and Turn Evil. Seems fine as a completely optionally-positioned talent, only having to pick one out of three.
I mean that doesn’t make it deserve a talent point that’s for sure.
Same as above, this ability doesn’t deserve the point, it doesn’t deserve to be on the tree if it’s usable in 1% of the game it’s just a waste of space. Easily could have put Divine Protection in it’s place, or something to further improve HoJ, like make it non dispellable.
Divine Protection would be better as a baseline ability imo. I don’t think enough is baseline for Retribution at the moment at least.
