Why is there only 1 way to report someone for griefing

I have gotten into a Timewalking dungeon 3 times with the same tank and healer and they just repeatedly try to kick people from no reason. I have been kicked for no reason whatso ever and have to sit 30mins in between queues when I did literally nothing wrong. I was doing mechanics and I was top dps, didn’t insult anyone at all, kicked casts, gave buffs etc. But I cant even report or do anything because I cant target them to right click their name. I love people abusing the new cooldown when getting kicked.

A few things: You can’t report them because there isn’t anything to report - ‘Griefing’ isn’t a recognized term that they action for.

Another thing is, vote to kick been in the game for over ten years, it isn’t no and there isn’t a new cooldown. No, they’re not going to remove it because they put it in because tanks and healers was refusing to do dungeons they don’t like.

This is not something that can be reported, there is nothing really against the rules in kicking people. No reason is required to use the Vote to Kick system.

If they are not otherwise breaking other rules, such as using foul or toxic language, there is nothing to report.

You can use the ignore system to avoid being grouped with them in the future.

it’s literally an option in the report a player section, it just tells me to report them via right clicking their name. Also the reason they are kicking people posted as “it’s funny” when they try to kick the other random person not in their guild.

Just put them on ignore and ypu will never run with them agaib.

You can put the player(s) on Ignore to avoid grouping with them in the future.

Outside of that being VtK’d isn’t griefing. You can be kicked for any and all reasons, and no one has to explain themselves. If the majority wants someone out, it’s just gonna happen.

They do not need a reason to kick you based on Blizzard’s rules. They can decide they don’t like your transmog. Kicking is a vote by the majority that will remove you for any reason, or no reason. That is how the system works by design. There is nothing to report because it is not against the rules. It certainly is not fun for the person kicked, but it is not against the rules.

What are you taking about? There have been no changes that I know of. People can kick but if they kick enough, it eventually has a cool down. Blizzard has never shared how that sub system works or how many vote kicks it takes to get a cooldown.

Regardless, they are not breaking any rules by kicking you, even if it is unpleasant.

Unfortunate I guess, I understand if there would be an actual reason, but just “cus its funny” is stupid. Is what it is i suppose.

The only thing unfortunate is for you to be grouped with any of them again.

Put them each on ignore.

You may have to manually type in /ignore fred-realmnamehere, just to be sure you’re actually ignoring the troublesome folks. Sometimes it seems like it wants to default ignoring that poor Fred on your realm. Just be mindful of special characters too.

The only change is the 30min cooldown is now given regardless of if the first boss is killed or not. It was changed just before Season 1 started as people were killing the first boss of a dungeon for a trinket then leaving when it didn’t drop. That created a vicious cycle of everyone just leaving then new people joining up and not even getting an attempt at the trinket or first boss loot.
