Why is there no Pride Month event?

Whatever the case I’m going to put more stock in what a Chinese company has to say about their media being presented to the world than a Western company that has something to say about how they should present their media to the world.

Did they say anything?

This all started by some rando twitter user in Asia and someone else who was already known for spreading made up leaks

Well if its all lies I’m sure it’d be clarified down the track.

i think we are geeting off topic here…

Because we haven’t seen this nonsense going on for over a decade where a bunch of weak minded fools get taken in by grifters selling them a persecution complex based on popular media. Although I’ll give this current round a bonus point for not immediately falling in with people who were making fun of them 5 minutes ago like the gamergate goobers did back then.

Lets be real here.

This is never a pleasant topic.

Isn’t WoW supposed to be about escapism or a quagmire where we drag all our RL problems into it.

Yeah, would be nice if a lot of culture warriors didn’t try to force that in all the time.

A lot of this is starting to seem like a marketing tactic. Some unverifiable source on weibo gets subtweeted by another shady source on twitter over a contentious topic that people get emotionally outraged over to bring attention to a game that would have otherwise just stayed in it’s fanbase radar instead of a contraversial hit piece that people are now using for their online culture war headcanon

Love having this constructive and calm discussion regarding this topic on these forums.

Anyway. Can everyone please cross their fingers that Grimtusk’s fishing hole is up tomorrow? I really want Taivan.

Seems weird for that one as I’ve seen a lot of excitement for it.

Ignoring the fact this is obviously rage bait the reason why there is no Pride in Azeroth is because there has never been need for one due to the fact that at no point in time on Azeroth have LGBTQ+ people been discriminated against.

To be clear PRIDE IS A PROTEST

Why didn’t I know about this??

I am totally onboard an in-game pride event, but you lost me, and no doubt other potential supporters, with silly assertions that Christmas is a controversial holiday.

I’ll cross my fingers and toes.

The only thing I can think of them trying to make ‘christmas’ controversial is that it was originally a Pagan Holiday. But Pagans moved on from that LONG ago. This is just a ragebait post.

I mean, there are also the totally chill people who freak the hell out whenever the idea that there are a bunch of holidays (even just within their traditions) at the end of the year and people might use a catch all “Happy Holidays” during that season.

Or coffee place just has red cups and not something explicitly referencing their holiday

Oh trust me. I know. I like to tell those people Happy Yule and watch them go red in the face trying to determine if they should be offended or not.

Jus’ saying they seem to be the biggest xmas controversy there is.

Yeah it isn’t only people who might think it is are Conservatives upset about people saying Happy Holidays rather then Merry Christmas makin up this whole crazy conspiracy theory about it :dracthyr_crylaugh:
