in WOW, I see progression guilds to this day attempting Kara / SSC / TK everything and anything.
Biggest thing people complain about is guild jumping and when people leave PUGS.
There’s no penalty in this game being a scumbag. If you leave PUGS frequently or constantly jump guilds, why doesn’t Blizzard implement a way to shame that person.
Or charge them gold? You should be paying a 50g admittance to another dungeon or raid when you pull that, not for a respec
No one at least on Pagle has any good I don’t even know the word for it. But people have no shame clearing like an SSC up to Lurker and Oh Libram doesn’t drop, they’re gone or some obscure item doesn’t drop…
I know GDKP’s solves this for the most part, since when a payout is involved no one is going to forfeit that or very few people would try to damage their reputation though…
I don’t understand why people think 25 man raiding is fun, it’s hard enough to organize 10 people let alone 25.
There is when the server is small enough you can blast them in LFG or the discord’s blacklist channel.
A disadvantage to megaservers is that people can too easily just skip and find another run, and even if they put you out it probably won’t come back and catch em.
Agreed, if you abandon a bg you get 15m deserter debuff. Disincentive to abandoning what you more or less promised to do. Same thing when it’s a LFD group. You were punished for leaving and putting the others out.
Integrity.
Yeah I don’t recall ever hearing good things about Pagle.
I don’t often have problems here on Grobb. In fact I’ve run into a lot of people with a good deal of patience and understanding. I still hate to pug, but people here may gradually change my mind on that.
Still a bad egg now and then, though.
And that’s the real point of the post. Yay GDKPs! Totally not a whale sanctuary where lazy players encourage RMT because they can’t be bothered to play the game or farm!
I mean, I’ve seen GDKPs enforce a 500g (or more) deposit for members of particular guilds, to be returned at the end of the raid, if they don’t troll the raid.
If you leave a GDKP, you won’t get a cut.
If you leave a PuG or Guild raid, you might get remembered and not invited back to their raid next time.
There was a penalty. It no longer exist because people no longer care about reputations. That penalty being that no one was willing to play with you.
Later on when guild rep became a thing. The penalty was that you have to regrind your guild rep to gain guild benefits.
That is why GDKPs grew in popularity. It incentives people to stay in and finish a raid. That is only why in SR pugs the Loot Master generally holds the loot for 2h or until hey are done whichever happens first.
It isn’t and hasn’t been for some time. People don’t commit like they use to. That is why 10m raiding took off and Blizzard eventually had to take away 10m raiding at the highest level because they weren’t willing to balance fights around 10 players anymore because they wanted to design fights around classic mechanics and they couldn’t do that when there were 12 classes and 10 spots… thus 20m being the highest form of raiding while everyone else was 10-30m to allow for those who still want to 10m while allowing those 20m mythic groups to have benches in their 30m heroic.
I feel they could be a lot more creative if they weren’t designing for classes… but who am I to talk.
