I’m even more convinced after experiencing it for a second time - Wrath is definitely when the game design was plummeting to the depths. TBC was fine but felt dry compared to Classic

Actually back in the day they were just called patches and no one played the “phase” or “patch” because a lot of the time gear from prior patches was still relevant

Vanilla classic was the greatest iteration of WoW, and the one which accomplishes the goal of satisfying the purists who want classic instead of retail the most.
