Yeah, none of this would work in wows gameplay first of all. You gonna charm the raid bosses adds and put the boss to sleep?

WoW doesnt do support classes.

DAoC has 3 bard classes, one per realm
DDO has a bard class
LOtRO has a bard class
EQ2 has 2 Bard classes
FFXIV has a bard class
EQ has the best iteration of a Bard class

Shadowlands, EU Draenor were not in the lore until they were in the lore.

Yes Bard is a D&D class but so is paladin, rogues, fighters, Wizards, Warlocks…etc so they should just remove those classes from WoW?

Every anti Bard post is invalid, except for the ones that specifically say they would not work as a support class that purely buff, Because WoW has no support classes that purely buff.

In other games bards simply play a harp to give their allies buffs and fire the odd magic missile at their enemies

Depending on what idea of a bard is, you are usually looking at a support/ranger style class.

To keep it really simple, there has never been a “bard” style character in WoW lore. It simply does not match. Music is just music, it is not a magic source.

Obviously Blizzard could alter this in any fashion to make it work, but the simplest answer is that it just doesn’t exist.

They could make a class like Dancer.

Lower DPS but buffs everyone else’s DPS. Also it would be another ranged DPS.

I’d be down for that.

He’s a lore master, and he fights like a monk, if he even fights. He doesn’t go around beating people up with a banjo.

You’re honestly better off using sirens to defend the idea of a bard, than a loremaster.

Or realistically use ETC from HOTS.
