Why is the game being taken down multiple times a week every week?

He is right, the Discussion forums are the means to provide feedback. Not the Support forums. The Discussion forums are where the CMs are actually tasked to read and collect feedback (along with other sources like reddit, streams, third party websites, discords, etc)

This IS the proper place to complain about the game being down for an hour to fix bugs.

Now, it seems silly to anyone who was around long ago (OPs achievement history on this account only goes to 2009), but like it or not they have the right to complain.

Correct. Tuesday is maintenance. Anything else that’s not scheduled isn’t maintenance, it’s downtime. Unexpected down time. A failure on Blizzard’s part paid for by the players.

Ok? What is your point here? I played at launch and came over from EQ. One of the draws was the regular maintenance as EQ was down sporadically and at random times.

You seem to be very confused about the purpose of this forum, to the point where you are trying to shut down all discussion, because it doesn’t fit your narrative. “Defending Blizzard” is a perfect description of what you’re doing, with a big dollop of “get off my forum because I don’t like the fact that you are permitted to discuss the game and game issues.”

People have every reason to criticize you for trying to go full control freakazoid on them and shut them down. It’s disingenuous for you to claim you’re not defending Blizzard, when as a self-appointed censor that’s exactly what you’re doing.

You’ve made your point. You have convinced no one that you are “not defending Blizzard”. I fail to see that bugs that will not be fixed in this shutdown are off the discussion as a topic for complaints. And most of the bugs in the game will not be fixed anytime soon.

It was literally scheduled yesterday and put on the launcher so that people were aware.

Blizzard’s definition of Scheduled is that they are able to tell players ahead of time. Unscheduled means something is on fire and they take it down without warning.

You don’t have to like it, but that is how it is defined.

i just find it amusing after every tuesday maintenance i get that amazing you have been disconnected on the log in screen again lol. are they truly fixing things and breaking other things? and there’s been many bugs happening all expansion and everytime they try to do something new in game or even here it breaks something else look at me.

Based on my experience with WoW, yes.

It’s not uncommon for regular weekly maintenance to break something that wasn’t broken before.

Yeah I too wish that they would just leave stuff broken instead of trying to fix it.
