Why is the game being taken down multiple times a week every week?

What is the point of regular tuesday downtime if you are taking the game down multiple times a week every week for the entire expansion?

If I had to guess. Its a bug fix for a display issue related to frozen items on the trading post.

The item you freeze is still there. But the display is buggin’ for folks

Would you rather them fix bugs or keep them in the game until reset?

The interns they have since all the people to that started the game and deployment was layoff, are learning.

Any other company would not have their service down for more than seconds. But since we pre pay monthly, they already have your money. So… no quality.

The point of the scheduled maintenance every Tuesday was to combat this exact thing. Other MMOs have to come down at random time for patches, one of the draws to WoW was that they do all their needed fixes on Tuesday and you can plan around that downtime. Every now and again sure there is an issue but the new norm is taking the game down multiple times a week and sometimes its extended well beyond the hour they estimate.

Yeah, that’s called gaming.

That’s the price you pay for playing an ongoing ever updating game.

Things break. Things need to be fixed.

The quality is them willing to shut the servers down to fix problems rather than leaving a broken game for a week.

I mean I’d rather they do that on Tuesday like they were doing for past 15 years, this new twice/thrice weekly maintenance stuff is DF, maybe do better testing before releasing, but I guess that wouldn’t make investors happy.

I would 100% prefer them to shut the servers down for an hour or two here and there to fix bugs than to play a broken buggy game.

At least they do it when the majority of people are at work or in school.

I would prefer you improve your reading comprehension. Its not here and there, its twice to three times a week since this expansion released. Also its not always bugs they are fixing, they hot fixed DK damage output one time, give me a break

Heck I saw the forums change color the second Blizz flipped the switch to make things all dragonflighty here

Remember the backlash they got for delaying Shadowlands?

If they did more testing and decided they needed to delay comment, the community would have a stroke… like they always do.

I agree that a lot of things being released should be tested more and pushed back. But they know from previous experience that people will throw a fit if they do.

So they release it on time and fix it on the fly as the weeks go by.

Dragonflight is the MOST buggy expension. So many annoying bugs here and there although it has already 3 months in. “Blizz = quality” no more.
e.g. I have 4 LWs, 1 got the weekly leatherworking quest to hand in drums, the other 3 can’t see the quest.
