You dont learn anything in normal dungeons. They are for facerolling purposes.
Exactly, mass pulling in normal dungeons doesnât teach players anything, this is why low M+ keys are full of DPS that donât even know how to intterupt.
These forums are hopeless, it is just full of zealots that canât fathom that people have different experiences in game compared to theirs.
Again, Iâm not asking for dungeons to take 1 hour.
This is such a dishonest rebuttal as well, because you are not addressing my point at all. Where did I say I want dungeons to take 20, 30 , or 60 minutes long?
Often times, tanks over pulling makes the dungeons take longer due to wipes.
Edit: we got the usual suspects in this thread trying to gaslight and derail. These forums are exhausting. Same clowns in every post.
A problem for which there is no solution. Sometimes this happens, but itâs not chronic.
You could just make tanks not be able tank 4-5 packs at once. I donât get why normal dungeons have to be this faceroll AOE clown fiesta?
This would benefit absolutely no one, and only frustrate players. Curtailing player freedom is rarely worth the tradeoff.
Ans itâs Blizzard that see this toxic behavior towards people who complain and allows it happen by refusing to alter dungeon design to PREVENT tanks playing this toxic way.
So yes, Blizzard DOES encourage it.
This is not toxic behavior, itâs efficient play.
they really are.
I was doing a dungeon run with 3 people from a guild,
and it was going fine, i didnt do a thing wrong neither did the other dps, but at the end of the run b4 we could go back and turn in quests, they vote kicked us just so we coudlnât turn in quests just to troll us.
in ff14 - a game JUST AS BIG as wow in player #s,
they allow reporting people for this, and people get banned for this kinda of thing; WOW needs to hire more GMs and detoxify the player base.
Its the internet. Where people that would never say anything to your face are suddenly the toughest guy on the block. 8)
Except this is not what happens at all and its getting significantly worse. The amount of Tanks im encountering this expansion that dont use a single cooldown or defensive its higher then ive ever encountered before.
Im talking bear tanks not even using barkskin, pressing ironfur once or twice for an entire run. If you think dps is interrupting your also on one. 9/10 runs will result in the tank and maybe 1 dps actually interrupting while everyone else just zug zugs while standing in stuff.
This person makes a post about people being toxic and the first reply you give him is essentially youâre bad play better, thats just so on point for this forum
If thatâs the case then it sounds like fun. I hate slow pulling. Iâm literally falling asleep when tanks do that and itâs me whoâs healing.
lmfao
being this hostile
are you sure of that ? ever played TBC and wotlk and people were always cool? highly doubt it
Yeah imo tanks and healers need a bit of a nerf at lower levels from 70 to 80, and a bit at max too. Scaling just seems a wee bit too off.
I have to admit, coming from Everquest, where the M.O. of this M.M.O. was to go and sit and camp the same mobs for WEEKS on end for AAâs/Epic Drops/Key Fragments/Because you hated yourself/Wanted to play with friends/Dislike grass - the play style of this MMO is already MUCH faster than any of its predecessors. 20 flippinâ years go. The problem may lie with this community, but itâs also just games in general have tried to become less of a time sink.
Somewhere between turn-based FF Tactics style gameplay, and Gran Turismo/Forza and COD is a happy medium that no one can seem to happily marry.
Mass pulling and not holding aggro.

If im in a normal dungeon on a new class. How am I going to learn if im never taking any real damage pulling 1 or 2 packs at a time? Normal is where you can and have the freedom to stress test your class and actually learn without bricking someones key. But you dont do that by pulling like a monkey. Its calculated. Anything else is just what a bad/dumb player does.
People not kicking and pressing defensive also wont learn that regardless until they make a conscious decision to become a better player.
Dungeon running was killed the day M+ was introduced, LFD is nothing more than an M+ GOGOGO training ground and IT IS entirely Blizzards fault. It used to be fun cooperative gameplay, pug or otherwise, currently itâs âfall behind get left behindâ in every aspect of the games current iteration.
Except this is not what happens at all and its getting significantly worse. The amount of Tanks im encountering this expansion that dont use a single cooldown or defensive its higher then ive ever encountered before.

this is exactly why normals are easy. Its because bad players will always be bad and never learn on their own regardless. Its not up to blizzard to fix if someone consciously choose to not press their active mitigation. So the best solution blizz has is to make normals not punishing at all. Would you rather make normals hard where they actually need to upkeep ironfur 100%
I pulled my bear tank out of mothballs recently during timewalking dungeons. Was tanking at a moderate pace, holding aggro, knowing the route, when the balance druid switched specs and turned it into a speed run. Everyone else happily followed him. I just stood there for a bit and left.
I think that is the culture of the game these days. Itâs not just dungeons. Disregard for those playing around you runs rampant these days. Blizz has their social contract and tries to intervene when appropriate.
Kind of happens when you design your game around speed running dungeons on a timer.
