How is the post “cringe”. If somebody is refusing to play their role that is against the spirit of the game. Saying “s*it” is bannable but queueing as a tank, remaining in DPS and holding a group hostage while you play only for yourself should absolutely be bannable.
Words are ignorable. Someone can be screaming the most racist and heinous stuff imaginable and all that takes is hitting “ignore” yet that player could be banned. People that queue into group content and then hold everyone hostage isn’t even reportable? Thats backwards because ACTIONS aren’t ignorable like WORDS are.
Why is OP so sensitive to each reply?

Oh but I very obviously have. And, dare I say, with having as many toons as I do, over as many accounts as I do, I have encountered this issue far less than it seems that your post is making things out to be. HENCE, why I was attempting to engage in a discourse that would allow for further extrapolation upon the issue at hand.
]However, you chose to be snarky, for no good reason. So, rather than extend an offer to help you out by offering to tank or heal some TW for you so you do not encounter this problem (which, that is something I do for folks on the forums, if they are in need), I will refrain from doing so.

I’m level 51 levelling this character. Had an unholy DK queue as tank and then just ran through the dungeon without the group pulling everything. Apparently somebody was happy because the vote kicks failed and there is no report option for this action yet words are bannable?
I can ignore the typed words, I cannot use an “ignore function” on a 291ilvl dps who’s cheating the system just for the bonus points he gets by queueing in that role.
You got a lot of attitude for someone who has been given plenty of solutions. If you don’t like them, then that’s your own problem.

That is the question and the topic I posted. My attitude is from “people” like you that come into a topic, refuse to read it, refuse to answer the question, and then make a response like yours. There are 28 posts now and not one has given an actual answer for why “refusing to play your role” is not reportable.
1.) Kick them.
2.) Leave the group.
3.) Stop whining.

i could be wrong but the OP sounds to me a lot like one of two possible complaints:
“the healer is doing damage”
“the tank is out-dpsing me”

You are allowed to be mad. No one is saying you’re not. But stooping low and insinuating that people are stupid is not ok. Take your aggression elsewhere.
Edit to add since you’re being snarky: Idk why there isnt an option. This is GD. We respond how we want. Ask the devs since we have no clue why they didn’t put it in the game. Clearly none of us know.

The reason is that queue content is so menial that a competent player could heal it in a hybrid spec, tanking is a bit iffier but still doable and a little more rude to try.
ie its not an action that inherently harms the group.

Eh. This can be not fun as you don’t really get the challenge or experience playing your class at this point.
However, you can just loot everything, block the player, and it shouldn’t queue you with them again.
Playing devils advocate, there’s days where I just wanted to get the things done and I had like 15 minutes. And I’ve been grateful not to worry about it and catch up at my own pace. Not to invalidate you. I have definitely experienced the disappointment of not really getting to level in a challenging team environment.
That will somewhat improve more and more over time though as you catch up. This late in the expansion that will take a few weeks though. M0s aren’t that way usually and S4 bumped up their rewards and difficulty some, totally doable at ilvl 220-230 though if you have a leggo and know a little bit.
If you’re around at DF launch everyone will pretty much be at the same level and strength again. Nows a great time to catch up and essentially get free gear and loot upto 265 ilvl.

Your answer to the question reads like this.
“Refusing to play your role is not a reportable option because you can leave and take the 30 minute penalty yourself. Its also not reportable because you can bring it up in chat or vote to kick.”
By your logic, posting advertisements never should have been bannable because you can always just click and ignore the player.
If the answer is “ruining other players fun and going against the spirit of the game is not TOS” then just say that.

The TITLE is cringe. The POST is fine.
The TITLE implies people who (sic) play Arms Warrior, but refuse to play Fury because it’s better atm. That’s cringe af.
But that’s not what the POST is about.
The POST is about people who QUEUE for a specific role (tank), but then play as a different role (DPS). And that’s wrong, I agree that’s wrong.
See the difference? It’s subtle but it’s there.

You know, instead of the ability to tattle on someone, Blizzard should do something way more vindictive.
Let’s take a Fury Warriors as an example. He queues up as a tank and as soon as he gets in the dungeon, the game automatically switches him to Prot and makes his weapons red so he’ll have to use a 1h weapon and shield to do any dps. Fury and Arms is now grayed out so he can’t switch to it.
That would stop this nonsense and be hilarious at the same time.

If you queue as tank as an unholy DK and then pull the dungeon how can you actually sit here and say that that action does not inherently harm the group.
Unholy dk’s dont have inherent threat like tanks do. The entire group gets aggro’d - healer first.
I cannot believe how many players here are responding like they have never ever done group content in World of Warcraft or understand how classes and threat generation work.
Please, please stay off the topics you have no clue about. All you do is waste players time that respond and muddy the waters from the already confused masses here that cannot seem to stay on topic of the question: “Why is refusing to play role not a report option”.
