I had to drop $15 to resub in order to get access to classic; I haven’t played since Cata… & now I’m getting the entirety of current retail for free? Lmao.

Its a cash grab because of how they will benefit. Token sales which people will buy to get a head start on gold. Cosmetic sales which will happen. Not to mention how this has the potential to mes up the economy even more in game via token sales.

I complained about it when they made the expansions free. I continue to think that its wrong that all of us had to pay 60 dollars per expansion and then they just made 90% of them free. Just like I think it’ll be wrong when the next expansion comes out and they do the same thing.

I’d like to suggest that next time you go out to buy a new car, you INSIST on paying the sticker price. Don’t ask for a reduced price as someone else may have paid more and that wouldn’t be fair to them… right? And NEVER, I mean NEVER should you personally buy something that’s on sale. Someone else paid full price and you must insist on paying the original full price. See how stupid that sounds?

If it’s fake, there’s nothing to clarify, really. Plus this is Labor Day weekend in the U.S., a major holiday, and this just popped up. They’ve probably given at least some of the serfs who might otherwise be dealing with this the weekend off.

So it’s better to have to pay $420 to get access to the entire game right now despite most of it being old content? That $60 got you two years of entertainment, which is a long lifespan for any game. It’s totally worth it.

Then it becomes free as we move on to the next one. If it wasn’t free new players would never join because it’d obliterate their wallet. Entire consoles don’t even cost that much.

Y…um… The $15 is simply a sub for access to both games. Every new expansion, they ad the last one to the base game. So were you to buy the base game, you’d have up to Legion for free.

And…Classic isn’t $15 more than Live? It’s…the same sub?

This is apparently exactly what this guy wants. If Blizzard giving expansions is “a lack of confidence in their game”, I guess he wants folks to have to go out and buy every expansion before anyone can play the current one. Seems like that would be more of a cash grab than this promotion.

I see a lot of people saying some of us are blizzard hater. I dont hate blizzard. Im very thankful for the game they created and the people I have met through that medium. That doesnt mean that my head is so far up my rear end that I cant call them out when i see something thats wrong.

Assuming though that was the motivation behind it, it still doesn’t strike me as unethical. No different than a grocery store putting items on sale in the hope that while you are there you will puck up other things as well.
