All this FF14 talk like it’s the only other option to WOW.
Swtor has tons of content. I think it suffers from a bad first impression.

It suffers from being a bad game…moreover, being bad because it wasn’t run correctly.
Alot of people that play wow played a superior MMORG called star wars galaxies

If anything, SWTOR makes a GREAT first impression. Or it did. Then you start hitting the cartel market, and blahhhhhh.

Swtor is a good game. I play it sometimes. WoW is just better.

I think SWTOR is considered dead by a lot of people so they don’t even bother trying it, although it’s pretty alive in the 5 servers they do have up. I always find people to do stuff with there and the chat’s usually always pretty lively.
Also EA being behind it doesn’t help it’s goodwill.

Idk… Space politics are just… Boring. Glowing bats don’t make it much better. It be nice if lightsabers were actually deadly as they are in the films…

I love SWTOR personally. It’s my main mmo besides WoW but I’m kinda taking a break from both rn. And playing ffxiv not really because of people rn hyping it up but friends standing by it and tbh I’m glad I did it has a chill vibe that I don’t get in other mmos, (I’m staying to experience the wow story in the new patch and then I’m breaking off for a bit)
As for SWTOR I love it still I think pvp both ranked and unranked is tons of fun. From huttball to that one map with the pylons, they also have a map where you run around a complex and have to hold the areas that are lit up and then they like circle back (I’m bad at explaining what I’m talking about I apologize), also voice acting top tier obviously what it’s best known for.

look in the long term if one of these mmo’s are free to play just play it free dont have to quit subbing for wow to play those others when you and everyone knows you will come back its not if its when you really have no say on this anymore like anyone else whos an addict. wow is life.
I tried it once years ago. Within a few minutes of logging in, someone randomly gifted me with credits equal to about 100 times the F2P cap. I looked at what it would cost to unlock a wallet large enough to hold the gift, logged out and uninstalled.

Yeah they had one of the worst cash shops.
i started playing swtor when it first came out and i only ever my self played it when you required a sub didnt know they have a cap now… kinda sucks for you.
Tried Swtor recently and my impression was that it feels dated. Combat wasn’t thattt bad but everything else was.
Tried ffxiv too and it’s beautiful, proffesions we’re cool. But holy moly the quest campaign and leveling got reaaaalllly slow, down to a crawl after the initial levels and traveling across the map and back every single quest. Zzzz
