It’s dumb but it’s not common enough for it to matter. At least that’s my hot take, I’ve seen less than 10 in as many years.
Man, I wish I had the same experience. I probably wouldn’t care either.
I see them all the time unfortunately.
You are vastly overestimating just how many multiboxers are out there farming.
It’s because people generally remember the bad things that happen to them. So they run into a multiboxer a couple times and that stands out compared to all the other times they don’t see a multiboxer. So they come to the forums to whine and cry over something that barely impacted them.
Although I appreciate the theory of multi-tap nodes, in that it did always feel bad when someone hit a node you’d been chasing (and probably fighting over when they hit it), I do feel that change encouraged multi-boxing, so they should consider rethinking it. When over half the mats on some servers are from 10 guys hitting the same node ad infinitum, I could see how any reasonable person would view that as an issue.
Even farming world mobs for mounts is limited below 20 characters. The most you can have is 8 people (two 4 character groups), any more than that and the other characters get nothing.
In a thread the other day a player recounted how they had singlehandedly attacked a 20 boxer and was instantly killed. “How is that not cheating???” they whined.
When I construct sentences like this:
if [a] wants to [b] then more power to them
If bob wants to eat glass then more power to him
I generally have a problem with the [b]
Ummm okay??? LMAO HHAHAHA
I agree. Maybe this, in combination of the removal of hyperspawn areas would significantly help. It would punish players looking to blast their way through WQs, but it’s one of the only ways I can think of that would combat the issue aside from making it a more difficult hobby to break into.
Edit: I saw a suggestion in one of these multibox threads before about breaking the stand inside character box behavior of toons to help. I think that’d go a long way as well.
I’m shocked you haven’t been mass flagged yet.
Don’t worry. The multibox brigade will take care of that shortly. They always do.
Yet another reason for them to face bans, abusing the flag system.
The answer is simple: makes Blizz more money.
Same reason why people/guilds are allowed to WtS in trade and lfg (which is supposedly against ToS but blizz turns a blind eye) and why blizz introduced the token: blizz makes a ton of money from people buying tokens with real money to get gold to buy runs.
Blizz has to basically be a pay to win company, now (imo), to offset their lost revenue when they dropped (and continue to drop in subs down from 12 million subs down to what? a million subs now? Hard to say, because blizz is too share that info.
I started multiboxing because I hit the account cap on my main account, 49 120s and 1 80 (Herald of the Titans) so what was I to do? I’m an alt monster and have no intentions of stopping so I whipped up 4 new accounts Now I have 59 120s, and 52 more on the way If Blizz doesn’t raise the account cap you’re going to see more and more multiboxers as time goes on
He actually was for a bit lol
Amazing logic you got there.
“They should be banned for mass flagging, even though they haven’t done it”.
Single tap nodes and unshared mobs are the worst anti-player feature in the game. Incentivizing players to steal from each other is just an old, bogus way to extend content.
Kind of hypocritical to go after Gallywix but ignore that and the multi boxxing plague ruining the economy.
I agree. Blizz has never been consistent.
Me thinks it’s because the moolah wasn’t going into their pockets. Blizzards pockets.
How? The dudes in Gallywix did RMT, that’s against the rules.
Hypocritical of you, maybe? Claiming billions of sales of gold for cash is the same a a guy minding his own business while playing the game. But hey, the truth is inconvenient, isn’t it?
