I’ve done merc mode on my horde toons, I will never ever do it again. It was the most painful thing I’ve done outside of LFR Zul.

Everyone would enjoy pvp vendors, even pve players. I seent a lot of them say they would always get a piece or 2 from pvp to help fill their slots.

You don’t need to grind for weeks. I am working on my third account and I boosted a mage to 110 so I could get pearls for gear for two characters I was leveling through AV. I think I did about 10 quests in total to get enough. Takes no time whatsoever to gear up characters.
It’s fast to get to 400-410.
Past that, it’s not. And in BGs, I have been constantly fighting 440+s.

I mostly am correcting misinformation in this thread. I am sure I could do a lot better job at setting OP straight if I actually did do a lot of PvP.
depends on what you mean by gear up and where you do it. hitting 400 is easy in nazjatar, 425 is a huge grind and lots of people are that level or better in bgs now
cant get into mythic plus with zero io score and i dont know the dungeons either

So play throughout. Don’t take 8 months off and then come back and figure you should have the same gear as people who did play throughout.

Good. I hope they don’t make it any easier for you guys. I don’t think come and go people are good for this game at all.
Yes power creep is an issue as well but Blizz does it to hide the lack of power via classes so they put all the power into gear and rental systems.
I struggle to know who pvp is for in this game tbh. High Ilvl people do not need the gear and low ilvl people won’t get geared if they tried. I can almost guarantee I will never take pvp seriously in this game after BfA.
