Why is it called a ‘World Tour’ if it’s just a tour around one continent?
Why is it called the World Series if there are only teams from North America?

World is shorter than continent.
Dungeons aren’t always on a singular continent, or on a continent at all.
It’s used in place of “all relevant things of whatever type”.
Pick one 
but all the WOTLK dungeons are on Northrend, except CoT…

Then it wouldn’t be a continental tour! I was speaking more in general… they’ve been called world tours for quite some time… it would be silly to rename it every expansion solely because in that expansion they were all on a continent.
Imagine buying a world tour and 95% of that tour is in one continent XD XD XD

Should be called a spacetime tour since we not only leave the continent but also time itself.
On private servers where they have RDF enabled from the starts, world tours signified actually making the trek to all the heroics because your group doesn’t meet the item level requirement to queue for them.
