Don’t forget the flask forges that they broke then suspended people for clicking on. They apparently fixed these now but broke the bomb quest that was already working. You’ll randomly get “you can’t use that here” errors while hovering right over the cannons. The skyguard assault quest also doesn’t work. The flask lady is just standing there forever… meaning you can never buy the other flask types. Even the timer on the assault is wrong. Rather than just have the guy use the internal event clock; he apparently uses his own clock which isn’t accurate at all for when the assault will actually occur. Why would you give him his own separate timer to track them instead of just having him use the same timer they do? I think they’re using more game code to have it screwed up than it would have taken to do it right.
Keep in mind that none of this is new. It’s all stuff from 2007. It should be easier than ever to do now… not harder. It also helps to test things. That forge issue would have been noticed instantly if anyone took 10 seconds to click on one before releasing it.
I think it’s the quantity of bugs in content that wasn’t previously bugged which shows their lack of passion for the project that disappoints most players.
So obvious the PTR is purely a tactic blizzard is using to cover content gaps as opposed to using it for any actual feedback.
Well I am sure they wanted to test it more. But u know every single day fir 2 months people would make posts saying they wanted phase 2 now.
Guess what blizzard accommodated the people that will have vashj and kael on farm in a week. Be exalted with orgrila and sky guard in a month and be back on these forums complaining about content droughts.
Also u can blame the same players that I mentioned above because they probably were on the ptr testing the raids but didn’t take the time to test the other content that was going to be released.
Oh did I strike a nerve? They put content on the ptr for reason so players can report bugs. They’ve done it since the start of wow.
Yes it’s a 15 year old game and never once has a patch been released without bugs. Why? Because the players test the content of raids and nothing else so yes the players deserve blame. Blizzard asks us to test the content and we have failed every single time. Then we come to the forums and complain about bugs.
Guess next time instead of coming up with strats fir 15 year old raids players should report more bugs.
No one uses PTRs or Betas for what they are supposed to be for. Most players see them as a change to see the content early and try to find the bugs and quietly keep them to themselves so they can use them in Live to get a leg up on other players.
Reporting bugs is a lost cause with this generation of players.
Probably because they feel like it won’t matter. It has been a very very very long time since I have had a good experience with blizzard CS, or had faith in blizzard lol
Kind of a chicken and egg thing. Players are not really using the PTR to test for bugs, but Blizzard is not really doing much about reported bugs, but they are not getting as many reports as they should, and so on.
