Look at how many pallys, mages, and rogues though. These kids amaze me at some of the things they post. Im glad I main a resto shaman but when I do get on my druid which is 198ilvl I have yet to hit someone with 40k plus dmg in my convoke window when I get the full cast off, and that’s if I get the full cast off. Yeah it’s strong but after that window it’s a fight then and lots of times there just isnt dmg.
Same applies to rogues, they stun you and bam tons of dmg, but once u get past that opener then better chance. This applys to rets and hunters also. I got hit for 18k aim shot just yesterday. Wonder if that has a 2 min cd, oh thats right it doesnt and if the use double tap u get blasted with 2.
In PvP, fun will always come at the expense of another player being the victim of the one having fun. Instead of nerfing convoke, why don’t they make covenant abilities as fun and powerful as convoke is? Of all the ones I’ve tried so far I really only like about 3 of them. I think most of them are very basic and unfun.
There is nothing you can say to some of these people to change their mind. Not one person has said convoke is not strong but these guys on this forum a crying so much and the ones that cry the loudest are playing super strong classes that are far more represented in pvp than balance druids. Also go look majority of them crying have above 50% win in arenas, guess they mad they are not 80% win and face a balance druid less than 10% of their matches.

It’s easy to talk from perspective of class that is in top 5 dps Pve/pvp, to players who wanna play their class but can’t because they didn’t get amazing covenants abilities or just are scraped this expansion. Don’t be a troll , you’re already a cow

I’ve tried moonkin a few times before in PvP. They’ve always felt slow and vulnerable. I hardly ever try to cast anything with a cast timer because of all the interrupts and silence abilities in the game. I don’t even think about casting the new moon spell because good luck getting the full moon off. The convoke ability is a means to give moonkins a way to get some of the harder to cast spells off in pvp at least once per arena and a few times in bgs. I do know in pvp the counter play is most critical and you have to keep a sharp eye out for those moments of opportunity. Convoke right now seems to be like a moonkins glory moment because for the rest of the encounter you won’t see them casting those big and long cast timer spells too much because they know its super risky. If convoke really is giving an unfair advantage in arenas then I’m sure there is something they can do to maybe tone it down a bit without completing nerfing it into the ground. I still do think if they get a convoke off it should do a lot of damage. Moonkins really don’t have much else to setup a high damage combo unless they literally have you hard locked for about 5 seconds while they do a full moon starsurge blast on you.
I have not bashed anyones skill thank you very much. Only the warrior I spoke down too for his crap about knowing all about druids and manning them since 2007 but refused (couldn’t) show me the druid he was speaking of.
Also I main resto shaman, which you would know if you read my comments. I don’t even main a druid, yes I have one as well as a hunter and a pally with my main shaman. But the difference is I am not making forums post about 1 class that every now and then is able to get a good opener on. Maybe I should go speak about rogues, hunters and pallys in a post as they have 0 to 100 me not matter which class I am on.
Also if your referring to the word “kids”, that’s just a habbit when I see whining as much as they do about a video game.
They are the opposite though. They are one of the most mobile specs in PvP and they have great defensives.
You’re not taking the New Moon talent for PvP. You don’t need it to get Full Moon’s in Convoke.
Some of the best boomkins in arena right now are Kyrian. It’s equally good, but doesn’t have the same random one shot potential Convoke has. If Convoke was gutted, Kyrian is still a great direction.
You only seem to do PvP so one would naturally assume you’d at least be 2100 since rating is so inflated this xpac. Ilvl means nothing for experience but it shows you’ve actually played the game at a high level since that’s what’s required to get gear, especially now since PvP gearing is broken.
If they were giving an unfair advantage you would see all the top players rolling druids vs then only 2 balance out of total of 8 druids in top 100. Bottom line someone here got hit hard in a few matches and now screaming but when they delete others on their highly represented classes they feel, working as intended or git gud crap.
Btw convoke, and combust fire mages particularly are still overturned (along with pallies - especially pally heals) blizzard needs to address these whether you defend it or not
I was 3800 io on my druid last season. So no, I don’t only PvP.
The season isn’t inflated. It’s incredibly deflated right now in the mid to lower brackets, so shows how little you know. 1750 in 2s puts you in the top 10% of players… The majority of players are in the 1400 range. The top end ratings being high doesn’t point to where the bell curve peaks.
Streamers want clickbait, and if convoke give them one clip of them 100 to 0ing someone every 500 games, they’ll take that over the one that gave better win rates.
I seriously hope blizzard doesn’t do nerfs to things like this. The idea of people having to switch covenants at this stage already is going to send them to another game furious as all heck.
Plus unless all druids aren’t using this at a high level, this isn’t even really an issue that needs looking at.
