Convoke itself isn’t the problem. I mean the NF Hunter ability is pretty insane too. The problem is it’s mostly NF that has strong abilities. The others, especially Necro and Venth, need to be buffed bad.
that isn’t at all what I said. Look at the screenshot. The druid came out and in under a 1/2 a second I was dead. Even with a fast reaction, you still have to look at see what’s being cast and who is being cast on. One of the big issues with convoke is it’s hitting everything. So even if you aren’t the target, you still have to treat it like you are. So in literally a half second I need to figure out where the druid is, what they are casting, then act accordingly.
No. In most of these cases its 2 people and my healer doesn’t have an interrupt… In some of these cases there was a paladin with the druid who is giving them bop or aura mastery to prevent kicks. Do you realize that exists? Do you realize a holy pali can prevent the druid from being kicked?
And yes, just like the best players in the AWC, there are times where 3 people won’t have a way to stop it.
Again, 1200 player with 1200 logic. You’re 1200 for a reason and it’s obvious in every response you make.
you should make a video because your screenshot just shows lucky crits
do you honestly expect people to believe you lack this much awareness or that its difficult to keep track of enemy players in 3v3
you have to cast 2 spells before you can even cast full moon. so for this situation to work a druid would have to have gotten out of combat and already cast new moon and half moon. that you got crit for 17k full moon and a 13k crit starsurge is just pure luck and everybody knows it. that you cant stop a full moon cast followed by a full convoke cast is a joke and says more about you
I probably ruined my dps, but my druid went Venthyr. Making him Night Fae just felt like putting a hat on a hat to me.
Convoke is pretty hardcore, but honestly holding onto it with my Druid has been more beneficial than using it. Watching people hold their cds waiting for me to use it all the way til they die to regular damage has been hilarious.
look. at. the. screenshot. I came out of stealth and was dead a 1/2 second later. Both the druid and I came out of stealth about the same time. The druid wasn’t targeting me. From the first hit to the second, it was .25s. It was the first to abilities cast in the convoke in the first .5s of the convoke cast.
Awareness? It’s a 1/2 a second and you want me to isntantly blow my biggest CD without even having a moment to see what is happening.
Most classes need SOME setup to do that kind of damage. Even a global. Like ret wings is on global. that is still almost a second of time to react… Most abilities in this game are GCD locked. You can’t do more then so many actions per second. Convoke breaks that.
No you don’t. Way to show your ignorance. You don’t even need the New Moon talent to proc Full Moon. If you don’t even know that much, why are you wasting your time commenting? Maybe learn how the ability works first. Full Moon can be the very first spell cast of the 16.
They aren’t casting the full moon.
convoke doesnt cast new moon/full moon and its not an instant so…
Bliz loves the auto-bots. Needs to make druids OP for their kickbacks
lol. Yes it does. It’s literally the best thing about Convoke, especially in Torghast.
You get a buff that makes it cast MORE Full Moon’s during convoke.
you must not play druid at all. I have yet to get a full moon off in .4 sec EVER. Also when I do convoke in arenas I might get off a full convoke one out of every 4 to 5 tries in the opener as most players interrupt me. Why because they see a balance druid is in the game and therefore save the interrupts. Now in BG’s I get them off all the time and it’s great.
Here is the thing. I’m a better player than you. I’m a better player than ANYONE you have EVER played with. You learn from me. Not the other way around. You have displayed a gross misunderstanding of the game and in particular, moonkin. I would suggest finding a simple game for simple people. Your life would best so much better accepting your overarching mediocrity.
Well, no. I also play boomkin and have played so at a much higher level then you ever have. Since you don’t even know how to bait kicks, please refrain from telling me or anyone else here that you’re good and that you know anything. It’s obvious to me and the majority of people here you’re clueless.
If you want to talk to talk, better walk the walk… you have a lot of walking to do.
Druids mad that someone calling out their one button win. How to win vs melee cleave: start in stealth, they engage your team, then go at max distance and start convoke. by the time they arrive to your location their entire team should have died. GG
“This is just my alt man, I’m gladiator on my druid, and it’s super OP. No, I won’t post on my druid, trust me bro”
Hunters have probably the easiest time disrupting, or negating convoke. Paladins too. Just because you feel that you shouldn’t have to burn your immunity on someone’s big cooldown, that’s how the game works.
Or just make full use of the extensive LOS opportunities in most of the maps. Or just group with a windwalker monks, or DK, or shaman, or anything that can spam pet junk all over, and watch as convoke wastes most of it’s casts on that.
Or are we complaining about the ultra rare full moon crit? Which is significantly rarer than fire mages one shotting people with their own combo.
I’ve had a lot of success as a guardian druid grouped with a moonkin. I take hotw, and balance affinity. They hold everything for the moonkin, just let me rough them up in bear form.
When the moonkin appears, they switch to the moonkin. Only to have a second moonkin appear behind them, and delete them with convoke. Doesn’t work outside sub 1400 wood league, but it’s absolutely hilarious. No one suspects, and everyone underestimates guardian druid.
Ahh I see OP has resurrected the old format of pvp complaints.
I was killed by class X, therefore class X is overpowered and should be nerfed. I play class Y, class Y is fine and needs no changes.
Played Druid since 2004 and Boomkin since 2007.
I’ve casted Convokes multiple times where the first two spells are Full Moon and Star Surge and it 1 shots someone in under .5 seconds. It is indeed broken.
The problem isn’t that you’re able to get a full cast off, it’s that casting it for .5 seconds can kill someone instantly.
what’s your boomkins name
My boomkins name doesn’t matter at all.
Unless you’re 160-170 IL then you won’t be one shotting someone in your Convoke, if you’re any higher then you will be within 1-2 seconds of the cast, depending on luck.
The problem is still that you can kill someone in less than half a second.
it does matter as I say ur full of it, I want to see his profile and the gear. My druid is 198 Ilvl
