Because there is an end around the detection system which buyers and sellers figured out a good long while ago. Without getting too into detail, lets just say “burner accounts” and leave it there. By the time it gets sniffed out the gold is well into circulation and an insignificant player account takes the ban, if any.
Oh yeah, the best way to “launder the money” is through GDKPs in case anyone wasn’t sure.
Blizz lost the moral highground the moment they introduced the WOW token.
Blizzard has been as successful at the war on Real Money Trading as the US government has been at the War on Drugs.
It’s silly to think that Blizzard even detests gold buyers or the bots. Bots are probably their preferred players after all, they don’t complain and buy subscriptions in mass.
Noooo, I’m sure that people that are to lazy to join a progression raiding guild surely don’t buy gold. Definitely these lazy people are out here getting the gold for gdkps legitimately, they would never do this.

Lololol. Good one. In every guild I’m in they openly talk about how much they swipe. I feel like I’m one of like 5 people that don’t, so it takes me forever to gear up.
