Honestly I wouldn’t play epic BGs unless they up the premade count to at least 10 for epics specifically. It’s nauseating how epics get their own queue and still it’s limited to 5 mans. Oh well no real loss for me, 5 mans in regular BGs are super fun and I don’t need the extra conquest and usually cap on the first day or two as Alliance.
Remember when you said warmode happened in warmode after someone said they got ganked by a raid.
Why don’t you apply that train of thought to bgs?
I’m not sure what you’re trying to say, here. Do people complain about getting ganked in battlegrounds?
Clearly you pick to defend anything that is in your favour and claim the sky is falling when it’s not.
You know, you’re supposed to resist those void whispers, not embrace them.
Where is the fun in that?
@ OP misfits version ftw
Hi OP, I think what you need to do is create a horde toon and play on that side. Otherwise you won’t know how correct your beliefs on the matter are. I did that and pretty much only play epic BGS for now; but it’s been interesting to see about as much “stupid” on horde side as on alliance side, and sometimes alliance also seem better geared as well. Anyway, if you are open minded to do it I think you’d find the experiment interesting.
I just heard, "If it makes any difference, alliance are dominating in Little League. "
I am doing this just to see if I can notice a discernible difference. Just got a DH to 120. May start dipping my toes into BGs this week.
Having just switched from playing horde to playing alliance, my experience in BGs is almost exactly the same.
Sameish win rates, same weird stuff occasionally happening, same general blend of teammates.
It may change when I graduate from the low honor bracket, but I really don’t expect it to.
i have no words oml nah i do actually . The answer to this is yes . Its all the people
A) blame horde mercs for their losses
B) Blame it on ilvl
C) Blame it on faction bias
D) All the above .

Gank
The term gank has several meanings, but often implies an overwhelmingly large [group] or much higher leveled player killing you and/or your group. (“A 60 Hordie ganked me”" or “Alliance players are ganking lowbies”) It frequently carries the implication the attack is overwhelming or otherwise clearly biased against the individual, either being substantial lower in level or having been previously weakened by an unrelated threat.
Successful ganks usually consist of very short fights and depend on tactics like high burst [DPS] and the ability to hide; Rogues are stereotypical gankers. Areas such as [“Ganklethorn Vale”] Stranglethorn_Vale) and [Hillsbrad Foothills] are infamous for ganking, as they are locations that naturally overlap differently-leveled characters of opposing factions.
I don’t see anything in that definition about mercs, faction bias or fake laughing emotes.
There was like less then 10% difference in damage when Trill tested with full 370 gear. This video is showing a broken Azerite trait on TR where it wasn’t hotfixed like live, just so everyone knows. In 370 gear the same ability did like 110k. With full greens 120k. This clip is totally misleading and is constantly linked by REEEEEEE’s that never explain fully what is happening. Everyone just sees huge numbers and goes apes*** about ilvl being meaningless. TBH the scaling does something, but if a 370 rolls up on a 300, that lowbie is getting the D.
Let us know what you think! I find epics on horde side to be fun enough (they have some really good healers) - it’s just that the queue is so long. That’s what prevents me from playing more on that side. Plus, the time investment between 3 toons is rather large IMO. (Haven’t tried smaller ones except 1 WSG which was lost badly, lol.)
How about my stats? This toon has only been Alliance. But it’s also over a few expansions.
My horde’s max level AV win rate is significantly better: 84%
I’ll say that again: EIGHTY FOUR PERCENT.
That’s crazy, man.
AV is my main point of contention with regard to win rates. There is no way it’s sitting anywhere near 50/50 for the average solo alliance player. In addition, because it can take a long time to wrap up an AV game, I do not blame people at all for leaving if they decide they don’t want o be there for another 15+ minutes. Maybe they miss out - maybe they don’t. Whatever the case each person gets to choose for him/herself - wouldn’t want it any other way.
[edit] My ally’s max level AV win rate is 33%. lol
Tbf, you only have 50 av matches on that toon. I believe I’m about 40-45% on this toon this expansion.
AV may be an exception. I don’t know, I’m not in the same honor bracket. I’ve been looking at my overall win rates. My Horde Druid was at 63% mostly solo, and last I calculated it Blue Bird is at 59%, again mostly solo.
Just looking at AV (max level) for me is Horde 15-9 ally 10-5
In regards to leaving BGs; look if people gots to leave they gots to leave. That’s their business, not mine, It’s annoying sometimes to come in late, but I do enjoy the challenge of turning around a game. (even if it doesn’t happen all that often) Zoning in at 1400-72 or whatever is just like… really? couldn’t wait 10 more seconds to /afk? But still, it evens out in the end.
That is fair to point out. That’s why I hope I can get more data on Pipi as time passes. The horde queue times make it harder. Whatever the case, I’ll probably always have way more games played on my ally, since that is my side.
The times I’ve been horde-side and seen horde lose have ALWAYS been because too many on the team are incredibly stupid and insist on “rushing” offense and not capitalizing on their defensive advantage. So I maintain my belief that horde should not lose AV unless their team is really bad. A handful of smart horde playing defense cannot make up for the stupidity of their offense, or impatient people who expect a win in under 20 minutes.
[edit] Also, blizz’s randomizer seems to assign IoC more than AV to my poor hordie. I almost always want AV too…
