The game is entirely corrupt and being perverted by the developers.
Here are two things, and the only two things you need to understand to come to this realization:
Corruption:
The entire arena scene is corrupt and is just a high school drama club at the top of the ladders. It’s not competitive, the players are garbage and have 0 skill. How they win is by organizing themselves and their friends (50ish so people covering every class and spec) and counter comping others and using alts to gatekeep using countercomping.
Watch any stream at the end of the season, they’re all queueing into each other and asking each other if they’re safe and helping each other by boosting and jumping around on each others teams. Not only that, if you pay them gold (which they sell against Blizzard ToS) you’ll be allowed a slot. Arena is not indicative of skill at all, which brings me to my next point.
Developer Perversion:
Developers keep making changes to this game which are not OG Wrath. The #SomeChanges is actually ruining the game. The engineering item change? All pservers allow these items. Original wrath allowed these items. They were NOT overpowered. Go see for yourself. We have literal random 1400 rated players in the community council and devs who haven’t played the game since 2009 making decisions on this. They are items that BARELY make classes and specs viable.
Yes there are corrupt players, there is an entire thread about it and Blizzard has sat idle, possibly protecting the pilots or carries they purchased.
These were nerfed in the end of Wrath, and were NEVER allowed on ATR (actual Blizzard Wrath back in the day), so you would be actually wrong.
they were removed because it was breaking the game back then, and we all said HELL NO, because they’re horribly imbalanced.
And removed in like 3.2 or so… (cant remember the exact patch sorry)
Sorry if I suspect your complaints are not about the Glad mafia crap, but actually a subtle QQ about Eng being nerfed as every other profession is… When was the last time they allowed Alchemists to chug pots like FAP, and LiP? oh that’s right they don’t because it would be tilting as hell to play VS just like the Boots and goggles.
it’s not even people paying them gold, they’re literally donating on their twitch streams to get carried. Snutz is a HUGE culprit of this. He’s also one of the posterboys for arena so blizz def wont do anything. And I’m fairy certain those +100 wins when they’ were stuck at 2200 all season are actually the top players playing on random peoples accounts that paid for the carry.
I mean I don’t think I can really post names, but the best known warlock pvp streamer was literally streaming arena carries, and laughing about gatekeeping glad last hours of the season.
I feel like not enough people play Arena for this to impact the pool of players Blizzard is trying to keep in their game.
I read somewhere that TBC had one of the lowest Arena participations and I can’t see Wrath being that much higher due to a lot of Classic players being more PvE-focused.
I’m not saying it’s right that boosts and carries exist, it’s obviously wrong and shouldn’t be encouraged but at the same time they have a whole laundry list of features and changes they’re keeping away from players that should probably be addressed first before Arena boosting.
Not sure if this thread is serious. Lots of hyperbole going on in this here thread. Carries for gold are not against ToS, like it or not. Playing with viewers is not against ToS, like it or not. People have gotten banned for win trading, there were people that have gotten banned who didn’t do win trading. People have gotten banned for RMT. I don’t even know if piloting happens that often anymore for a lot of reasons. It’s pretty easy to get caught.
