Absolutely gearing shouldn’t be this much effort in wow. I can easily gear my characters because I’m a above average player but for the casuals I can tell they are dejected and give up to this hurdle to push duelist and elite to gear up.
Gear in pve is not nearly as important as mechanics whereas in pvp it’s effectively the difference of winning a game or not. Skill matters but gear is a significant component of success right now.
