Ill give you guys one more good reason as to why high elves will never happen besides what Blizzard is willing to give you and also why the belf customization will undoubtedly include blue eyes: Vereesa Windrunner.
Stop and think for a moment, Vereesa is a major lore character that has been practically untouched since vanilla. She’s basically being kept on reserve. One of her sisters went on to become queen of wow, and the other infused with the void and created a splinter subrace. Do you really think her big moment wont come? Of course it will. She will get fel infused (ironic, i know) or bitten a worgen or a vampire or… find a love interest in a forest troll and create the first trollelf.
Point is Blizzard isnt about to waste a trump card they are keeping since vanilla to give you guys something you can already have if you change factions. Vereesa is the high elves and they are Vereesa and if Blizzard doesnt already have plans for her, they will in an exp pack or two. Only thing that may happen to her this exp pack is meeting her dead brother in shadowlands if blizzard is even willing to put her on display ( they want her forgotten till her big moment).

It won’t happen because we all get bitter over someone else playing with “stolen pixels”.
I’ll laugh so hard if they give Blood Elves a blue-eyed customization.

Thats absolutely a rock on the road they have to step on. It will hurt but eventually ppl will move on.
The windrunner family in wow is the skywalker family in starwars… Vereesa is a sleeper agent that can be made into a train wreck at a moment’s notice.
They’re too afraid of Faction of Peace. Billions of angry nerds rioting outside their office.
Thank you for your unique insight into a topic not often discussed. Surely this will quell any doubts people have about the feasibility of yet another elf race coming in.

Personally I’m all for Quel’dorei (High Elves for Alliance), but knowing Blizzard and their track record I can see Void Elves getting Alleria customisations (which they said could be a possibility) or Blood Elves getting customisation options.
Blizzard likes to take short cuts…
Edit: Void Elves do have High Elves in the rift learning, they could of placed them their as a future reference of the direction for the race.
Realistically, if they want more Alliance players, Quel’dorei will happen, perfect cash grab, theirs lore and lately they seem to be doing what will make them more money then caring.
15 years, multiple threads, Reddit, EU/NA forums, Mmo Champ, art work, speculation the work is already done for them.

A wise man once said “The truest victory my son is stirring the hearts of your people”
But High Elves already happened back in BC, so how does something that can never happen already happen?

Because faction and blue eyes or something like that.
Vereesa has always fulfilled the family dynamic of the unaccomplished sibling
She should stay in the shadows
High elves already happened. They name changed to blood elves and we’re put into the game with the Burning Crusade.

Look im just trying to show you guys that high elves wont happen but its not for the reasons most ppl think they won’t, its because of a much more strategic factor and that is why I thought that this thread had merit to stand on its own. Windrunner in wow is like skywalker in starwars, and only vereesa dis not have her time to shine and there’s a reason for that, she’s being saved for later. Blizz isnt gonna waste a trump card like that on something so petty as just giving alliance a clone horde race. Vereesa is the high elves and there’s a big story moment waiting to happen.
