Even though exposition is poor, I get that Alliance high elves aren’t really intended to be out there, “in that way”. What few there are are intended to be in the Stormwind soup and most of them are just time duplicates. The actual content of the Allerian Stronhold is unclear (or if it’s even still around) and that Lodge got wretched. That only really leaves the Silver Covenant, obsessed with being pure as driven snow. If they didn’t draw Void Elves from there, then there must be something else going on. I think they’ve been foreshadowing a good-guys-gone-too-far narrative. I’m thinking the next time we see the Silver Covenant will be the setup.
Oh, I know! AU Yrel visits and recruits them into her “The Light or Death!” Grand Army of the Inquisition.
I really think that that’s coming.
Not to mention that they brought the Purge of Dalaran back up. It was not resolved. I’m guessing we’ll be hearing more about it soon. There’s a reckoning.
I’m all for a good reckoning once in a while. Sylvanas comes to mind…
Oh yeah, that’s the reason I went Alliance this expansion pack. I didn’t appreciate being forced to role play a war criminal.

She was fine as a pragmatic, mostly self-centered sort of bad-guy. She was interesting. Now? She’s a meme-level Villain Sue that the game just does not need.
