It isn’t ethical to allow women and elderly to die while being terrorized by undead creatures, and remaining in the safety of your home.
Let alone those same individuals who promptly conducted an ethnic cleansing of their own people from a city due to the sorrow felt by Jaina and Vareesa without consideration of what the consequences might be. >_>

But it won’t effect your story at all when we get the super good elvesthat show your elves to just be nasty stinky bad elves that no one should want to be.
When you RP a High Elf do you imagine them kicked back with their feet up in front of a nice cozy fireplace, chilling out while the Scourge was decimating your ancestral homeland and slaughtering 90% of the Thalassian elves?

I don’t RP a HE, but when I RP my BEs I have a sense of dislike when I see HEs in Dalaran when I get to Northrend or Suramar etc. I would think if you weren’t in Quelthalas during the scourge attack if you decided to stay Alliance instead of returning to your homeland to help rebuild I’d have a certain level of disdain, and vice versa HEs disagreed with the way BE society was being run. I also have a sense when I RP a BE that Forsaken are my closest friends / allies so when I go for Loremaster I start off in Eastern Kingdoms before I ever touch Kalimdor out of respect for the friendship I assume is there with Forsaken, just as I sense the dislike is there with HEs
The fact belfs seem to just view them as wayward cousins and not traitors to be destroyed sort of speaks to some of that traditional Thalassian largess.

I think I’m gonna Roleplay mine as a high elf spy in the horde. Since Blood Elves are getting blue eyes it seems like a good way to do it for my own entertainment.
There was someone who posted on the Forums as a BE hunter with the name “Alliancespy” I thought it was quite humorous. Made me think of that.

Void elf=blood elf=high elf.
Could have just gotten high elves with a better backstory but nope.
Which includes the overwhelming majority of the population, homeland, seat of power, and the continuity of their story.
