Okay quite a few well worded points on both sides I’m pretty late to the game on this, skimmed this thread since there is way to much going on but my views on it are this and it’s already been articulated before. High elves are blood elves, Kael changing the people’s name was solely a symbolic gesture and the small remnants of high elves who where not in Quelthallas are kind of jerks for holding a negative view point of their fellow elves who did their best to survive. And people saying they where canonically an alliance race before they where apart of a different alliance, the alliance of lordaeron and when scourge stuff was going down they left them quick to protect themselves. Also let’s not forget about grand marshal Garithos who would leave any Sindorei with trepidation about joining an alliance with humans, since you know he was a huge racist who looked for any reason to execute the entire (already population decimated) people.
Also the only reason blood elves originally joined the horde was because when they tried to join the alliance they where met with suspicion, and Sylvanas holding what little semblance of kinship to them made a plea for them to be able to join the horde, and every expansion we’ve had with them trying to join the blue side the alliance or members of it screw it up like in MoP.
Also the SC aren’t virtuous for not suckling demon energy they just found a different source whatever it may be till the sunwell was re-ignited.

In game we have seen them actually draining demons right? unless I’m mistaken, it’s not a hill I’m willing to die on though haha.
There’s like one guy who does it. It’s not widespread, chances are he was a warlock. They used burning crystals (trapped demons) to power their arcane structures in the absence of the Sunwell, but that’s unlikely to still be a common practice.
Oh I doubt it’s common now with the sunwell being back since the end of TBC, just need an update to Silvermoon to show that cultural shift back to the norm of high even society.
