Only if all the forms are variations of cephalopods. The flying form can be a squid with bat wings.

Who is “they”? Do you have specific forum posters to point out or are you just making sweeping generalizations based on the fact that some people who were seeking playable Alliance High Elves are accepting of these options as a compromise?

Here’s a post I made over a year ago:

Assuming plausible story elements were added to explain the new options (as in actual Alliance High Elves have joined the Ren’Dorei) I would be quite happy… but at the same time, I don’t think Void Elves, even with High Elf customizations, fulfill the fantasy that many (not all) High Elf fans are seeking.

Am I a “flipflopper” because I accept this compromise and am happy with the opportunities it opens up for me? Am I a liar now for wanting playable Alliance High Elves but accepting this compromise as “good enough” to work with?

And why should I or any of those other people care what you think about them? If they are happy, they are happy. But not every pro-helfer is and you KNOW that.

I’m a High Elf that chose to honor my fallen comrades with the new name Blood Elf but that suddenly doesn’t mean I stop being a High Elf.

Sounds like someone needs to lay off the Arcwine.

Perhaps that’s a lesson you should learn then. And yes, many antis are devoid of morality and spiteful.
There’s always going to be a naysayers like this for anything really, even when it comes to optional cosmetic appearances unfortunately.

Some? Perhaps. But you were implying that the majority or nigh on the entirety of the request for playable Alliance High Elves was based purely on the appearance.

This isn’t true. You know it’s not true. Yet you and other anti’s continue to make the implication as if it’s some sort of “gotcha”. If people want High Elves only for the aesthetics, there’s nothing wrong with that.

But I think you’ll be hard pressed to find many (if any) pro-helfer posters out there that were all “I want them for the lore and no other reason!” who also now say “Ha I only cared about the looks and now I got’em suckers!”
