Why has the Horde not advanced at all?

Do you even play Horde? This reads like propaganda that Alliance would believe, lol.

Maybe that was the old, demon-infused Horde (Orcs under the Old Horde) but they certainly aren’t killing their own infants at this point.

Yeah, sure, they have their rigorous trials that not many young survive, but Alliance has stuff like that too, like what Lightforged Draenei go through to become Lightforged.

Sounds like you just dislike their aesthetic.

“Mud huts” and “spikes” are just their thing. Like how castles are a human thing.

I always hated Stormwind and stone castles, they’re literally from the medieval ages lol. Orgrimmar is made of metal, at least.

Nobody is really using catapults anymore.

Both factions are basically the same in terms of tech, you bring up Gnomish and Draenei tech, I’m just gonna point at Goblins and Elven stuff.

The factions are more or less tied in terms of power, and it’s been that way for a long time now.

Vindicaar doesn’t count, it was kind of a one-time thing anyway. It’s drained like our artifact weapons.

Too early for this sunday thread.

Indeed but nowadays it’s just human/elf favoritism.

I didn’t read all the way back, but in their defense, every fictional story is inspired by real life races, cultures, locations, etc.

WoW has guns, color cameras, tanks, planes, spaceships, airships, walkie-talkies, but no televisions or mobile phones.

Horde has been on azeroth for like 25 years. The timeline from war1 to now is surprisingly short.

The pendulum always swings hard.

WoD was overwhelmingly about Orcs and Draenei to the point where people complained.

TWW, people who aren’t high elves, dwarves, or humans likely don’t feel represented.

Everyone doesn’t like WoW content unless it’s their race in the spotlight.

There won’t be a time where everyone is represented, there’s just too many races/classes.

Legion was probably the last time, with the class halls and named NPCs of multiple races.

Oh one expansion whereas humans/elves had 3-4.

At least two (TBC and WoD), and what about times like WoTLK where Orcs were still a large part of the story for Horde?

Does the Northrend campaign work without Thrall, Garrosh and Saurfang?

Warsong Hold?

Idk if it does, lol.

Orcs are stand-ins for Humans on the Horde, and it’s always been like that.

Humans might be around like Orcs are, but not many expansions actually about Human civilizations like Kul Tiras.

And stuff like Scarlet Crusade is about Scourge too.

TBC was one of the most elf centric dungheaps, Orcs got Nagrand everything else was either elf or Draenei, WotLK was mostly human centric, TWW is proving to be Human/Elf centric with those half breed mole people in Hallowfall, Next expansion is going to be extremely elf centric because of that horrendous city called Silvermoon.

It’s funny because Blood Elves didn’t exist as their own faction back in the RTS games.

It was humans, orcs, night elves, and scourge. That was it.

High elves were just a part of humans.

Same with trolls and tauren being units for orcs.

Those were simpler times when factions made sense, Now it’s just throw the Barbie and Ken dolls into the He-Man villains box.

I personally stopped being Horde once Sylvanas took over in like Legion, and because they killed off Vol’jin just to tell her story.

Still waiting on Vol’jin thing to pay off, if it ever does.

Cairne, Thrall, and Vol’jin were why I was Horde. And Saurfang.

Once they stopped being main characters for the faction, I just left. At that point, there’s more Alliance characters I enjoy that are still around.

Elves are just a bigger force in the Horde than Orcs, probably been that way since TBC happened lol.

And it’s not gonna change back, elves are just too popular for that.

I almost left but a friend at the time convinced me otherwise. I did like that I could side with Saurfang in BFA and stick it to Wow’s biggest Karen.

Because those people who play them are too superficial. I don’t associate with those kinds of people.

Anyone complaining about the story involving large amounts of orcs and Draenei during WoD were absolute morons.

that wooshing sound you hear is my point going completely over your head.

It certainly was a thing at the time, just google “Orc fatigue” lol.

Which is pretty funny because I’ve had elf fatigue forever.

Naa that would be the wind blowing through your ears if you don’t understand that the Blood Elves, the Void Elves and the Nightborne ARE High Elves.

You know you can choose to not sit in orgrimmar right? Silvermoon is an option. You just sound lazy and like you like to complain a lot. Also its clear you havent played much horde side storyline…given that half of what you said…isnt how the horde are. Which is exactly why it will always stay that way, to promote more divide between the factions so they can keep aesthetics opposite.

This is an old problem. Blizz killed pretty much all of the other capitol cities over a decade ago when they exclusively placed the main portal nexus solely in Stormwind and Org.
