I would like someone to explain to me why Alexstrasza’s skin is now being depicted as causcasian white?
She has always had a dark grey to almost black skin in her humanoid form but suddenly I’m seeing all these new expansion pictures of her being a white female. Go to Wrymrest Temple - Dragonblight - Northrend and look at her how see has always been.
Why? And what the hell?

She’s never had grey/black skin

oh god i know you’re trolling but this is giving me flashbacks to the group of tumblerinas who really, actually thought blizz was “whitewashing” alex when they put her in HotS, because her skin was ONE SINGLE SHADE whiter than it was in WoW

Whatever that skin tone is, it’s not real, so I wouldn’t say there’s anything like a race change going on, just a model update. Sylvie used to be lighter too but no one talks about that.
I guess what I’m saying is that changes to her skin tone didn’t feel like they were “changing her race.” Pretty sure she’s powerful enough to take just about any form she wants regardless. When I ask myself “what race is alex?” my answer has always been “Dragon.”
Dunno, it does look a lot lighter than before. Kalecgos looks slightly darker, like an olive skin tone when he was much whiter before. They look cool anyways. Can’t wait to see the others too.
I think her old model just had the older Belf stuff that had a more reddish skintone.
Y’all ever seen Sylvanas’ various depictions over the years? She has a different skin color in virtually every one.
a lot of that is the lighting in dragonblight making her look darker.
she’s definitely not pale or anything, but I also wouldn’t call her black.
to me she looks like a white person with a tan.
Because white and black people are the only two races in the world right?
