Why greater drums? just add tinnitus

Just don’t use drums if you don’t want to be a leather worker. These forums are full of people saying “I play the game how I want to play it”, well if you want to play the meta you gotta do what you gotta do.

It’s not required unless you’re speed running, or pretending that you’re a speed runner.

Classic did not fail miserably, it’s actually pretty fun.

Classic “nochanges” did fail miserably otherwise they wouldn’t have shifted off of “nochanges” for BC :). Facts be facts brah

No, some of us take pride in our numbers and like playing the optimal class, spec, rotation, and profs. If that also means drums, that type of player is going to do the drums or quit the game. I’d rather not quit.

But that doesn’t fix the problem, just do any combination of the following:

Remove the leatherworking requirement
Give everyone tinnitus after use
Make them buff the raid not the party

Nah remember, if you dislike ANYTHING about how the game was, then clearly you want retail. Because there’s not a huge gap between the old game and retail, it’s binary.

That’s absolutely fine. And you’re welcome to do that.

Tailoring, JC, Ench, LW, did I miss anything?

Obligatory ’ this is awful’ comment.

no really, this is dumb AF

Remember when #nochanges was saying “Yeah some changes might be good. But modern Blizzard is so out of touch we just can’t trust them to make good changes. May as well just stick with how the game was.”

Pepperidge farm remembers.

I don’t understand people who are drastically against healthy changes for the game. They’re not drastic changes like “buff Elemental Shaman to make them the best dps this time around”, this is literally a change that allows the players to not be forced into rolling a specific profession because they won’t see raid time otherwise.

Yeah BS for Tailor, for Melee.

Drums are not required to clear any content in TBC. You can choose not to use them if you want to use other professions. The game does not need to be changed.

Right, my point is the counter argument to not liking anything is “maybe you would prefer retail”, as though it’s “I like Classic/TBC” or “I like retail” with nothing in between. I’m saying that’s stupid, btw.

This will not happen. There are plenty of casual raiding guilds who will take you right now if you never get world buffs but come prepared to raid with consumables.

I agree they’re not required, however guilds will MAKE them required. The same way guilds FORCED players to get full world buffs in Classic Vanilla. Grow up if you think otherwise. I also already explained why “make your own guild” doesn’t apply, so don’t try using a garbage argument like that again.

I highly recommend people watch Kargoz’ interview with Kevin Jordan (one of the original WoW game designers). Just because something worked a particular way in TBC doesn’t mean that was their intent at the time - either things got missed because of a lack of oversight or they just ran out of time to properly test or fix things. Kevin makes a good point that the #nochanges crowd shouldn’t stand in the way of changes that make it a better game experience as long as it keeps in line with the intent of the original experience and feeling of the game.

There’s literally not a single guild on my server right now that will take you into Naxx if you don’t obtain full world buffs. Don’t spew garbage lies to fit your untrue narrative.

Don’t bother, they won’t believe this and keep peddling their narrative that this meta crap isn’t the toxic, cancerous garbage that it is.
