I switched from Horde to Alliance because I finally got tired of the hot mess that the Horde continually is in the story. Never liked the mud hut and spikes aesthetic, and I only stuck around because my friends were Horde. As soon as the last friend stopped playing WoW, I transferred to Alliance and am much happier here!
