Ok sooo. Classic stays classic forever. Then why not just release it at 1.6? Shall i just unsub for 6 months and then play classic? Why are we gateing it?! You want early classic players to meddle through all the stuff you corrected later in the release? Whoever thought to release it this way has to be a noob. Much rather be leveling with group finder. Battlegrounds. And improved classes. It will stay that way FOREVER. so why are we gateing it?!

They are waiting to see if the numbers have any sustain. If not, then they didn’t waste time. If so, then crap I guess they will have to do the work.
Numbers would stay if we had a battleground. This is just dumb.

This is what it means to create progression servers. Content is released in groups just as if the game was launched and expanded upon normally. Classic isn’t just about playing the game at certain points of time, it’s about experiencing the whole process all over again.

Let the crowd that couldn’t jump in on the raid EXP glitch 15 hrs a day during week one get to 60 and earn some BIS before we talk about moving on to phase 2.
Unless, of course, you WANT to be absolutely curbstomped as a fresh 60 VS geared players.
So that we don’t have to no-life it and can actually enjoy it. Good lord. The majority of Classic players have some real life responsibilities now. Many have families, careers, businesses, mortgages, etc. This is for us too, moreso I’d say. They wanted our sub money back. Chill out, zoomer. We’re going to enjoy the content phases as they come. If you’re bored already, it’s not for you. Go pick up some other flavor of the moment thing and come back later.

Remember when Blizzard announced four content phases? The community advocated for more staggered content, resulting in six phases. The majority of players who provided feedback in this regard wanted a content plan akin to what we have received, so maybe complain to the majority of players then instead of Blizzard?

Well classic was alot more interesting after 1.6. Classic will empty out while they drag this out. Servers will begin mergers…and so on.
You know, if you look at the thread wheee Blizzard announced that they were further gating the content from four to six phases, the people there were thrilled.
It’s interesting how things change.

I don’t think much has changed; if anyone is complaining about “gated content” for Classic, they are likely just a vocal minority.
What sort of statistics do you have to back up this kind of rhetoric? The game has still been extremely popular. Maybe wait longer than three weeks before making unfounded claims about future population numbers. Until then, if you really can’t wait for battlegrounds, maybe try going to Hillsbrad and experience some world PvP instead of complaining on the forums.

I honestly like the staged phases. Can get bis to gear for the next tier.
It’s better this way, tbh
for those of us that played at release, there was no BGs, naxx, honor system, or other unreleased raids. it feels more authentic this way, and removes the stress of feeling left behind if you don’t power level immediately.

They are milking it. They will strategically time releases of classic between major patches for retail.
