Wasn’t it confirmed some time ago that they solicit feedback on some super secret invite-only forums anyway?
Cause we’d rip em apart.
They did once upon a time, they got accused (rightly so) of favouring certain classes and consequently those classes being over represented, now weather that second part is true anyone who plays wow has a favourite class Dev or otherwise (doesn’t mean they ONLY play their favourite or intentionally make it the most powerful though).
Look at the support center… You can’t even contact GM’s the way you could before. Trying to send tickets refers you to forum posts or a webpage. They’ve removed all of the contact methods I was aware of.
You see how people reply to them?
Nobody reasonable would.
Basic communication on classes people spend their time on perfecting? God forbid!
Well, from what I’ve saw they get most feedback from streamer comments and streams themselves. They only listen to pro players and high traffic streamers.
Not personally religious, but if you recall, the devs used to communicate directly quite a bit, then they stopped. Likely a value decision.
Idk whatever job you got do you really want to have to interact with all your customers probably not so.
I think the better question is wouldn’t they? I see this attitude all the time on the forums. Just this mindset of “how dare you expect or ask anything” What’s the negative you see?
I dont see why the devs dont respond to such good feedback such as “my class sucks why does ion literally hate me?” or “why can’t my class one shot everything just with a flick of a finger?” clearly the customer is so well informed on the subject and the devs are just afraid to show how dumb they are by responding to such galaxy brain takes.
I watched a Youtube clip of a Preach stream, where he talks about a discord he and other streamers were in with the devs. I’m not saying they get 100% of the feedback from those types of exclusive discords but they do exist
For anyone who wants to be taken seriously, whether by the developers or anyone:
*Avoid overly exaggerated or emotionally-tilted opinion
*avoid buzzwords (toxic, 1%, casual, hardcore)
*stop shutting down opposition unless theyre using the above 2
*learn to amicably disagree. You are never going to get a consensus.
*dont name call. What are we, 14?
*Stop pretending like your opinion is the only one that matters or a majority. You don’t know.
I never said any of that.
These people exist, obviously this isn’t constructive or well thought out feedback. I would never expect a community manager to engage with that type of post, however there are many many posts with calm, reasonable points. Those are not to much to look at IMO
I think all these reasons are probably why the devs don’t interact with people here. Because, people will absolutely do all these things.
because classes dont know how to take feedback.
thats a pretty toxic presumption that assumes players are bad at the game and blizzard devs are perfect. you must be a shill, anone who disagrees with me on this subject is obviously unable to think rationally on any topic and should probably be disqualified from being able to speak EVER. My opinion is perfect.
That is true for every forum I’ve ever visited but you always have to try to reason with people.
But forums are not a place for reasoning it’s a place to vent, Generally speaking
Why should they when you continue to pay to play. The only time communication improves is when the population plummets.
You got me there!
