Why don't the devs communicate on class forums?

They are doing what they are told to do. Its nott he devs, its their boss. THE LAWYER

They don’t have to
Communication went out the door when Ion took over.

How willing are you to walk into the lions den if people who want nothing more than to crucify you?

Well, doesn’t help blizzard makes some questionable decisions. look at bear

The Devs don’t have the stomach to interact with the world’s worst gaming community.

If I was a dev why in Azeroth would I ever want to talk to this toxic, trolling, entitled, elitist bunch of crybabies who would like nothing more than to see any and all devs fired for just doing their jobs.

I’ve seen worse

So their communicating with the forums has led to a forum that is “just as toxic as this one”
sounds like its really paying off.

J/K with ya. But it does sound like a waste of resources time. The patch notes here say “buffed XYZ by 25%” I can pretty much figure out that they intend XYZ to do more damage. I dont need some talking head to appear in blue to make me feel better about it.

because those aren’t the community council forums, duh.

and the community council is too busy asking for silly things, like to be able to pause an online game.

We keep looking at choices Blizzard employees make like they are gamers too. Blizzard is a company. Start thinking like that and suddenly all their choices make sense.

Cause they want to stay out of the lime light is that so hard to comprehend? The hunter dev loved putting his thoughts out for the world to see and was posting constantly cause he enjoyed the interaction and didn’t mind the lime light. The dk dev on the other hand while working just as hard as the Hunter dev would finish his work then give it to a cm to hand out the info to the players. Some people like to interact others do not. Its plain and simple

This actually happens. Lore did an interview with Preach gaming awhile ago and said this was part of his job. I’m not asking for Ion or a lead game dev to do an in depth explanation on why X class was nerfed 5%, but an overall “this is the direction of the class we’re aiming for” isn’t asking for the moon IMO

PR and community engagement have a lot of return, since community managers are already here I’m just asking them to drop a comment on a class issue once in awhile

yes? do you not? I don’t want to derail this topic to much but if you buy anything and it doesn’t work/ you don’t understand it you can 100% call and they will help you. If my washing machine isn’t working in a way I want I can get an explanation for that. I can’t think of a business that doesn’t do this

I don’t think the devs are chained to their desks and a community manager taking a couple hours every few weeks/months will cost us a raid tier. Community managers aren’t working on the game in the same way as a dev. Its their whole job to manage the community and part of that is communicating with it

Probably cuz they are subbed.

Druids have a class dev?

I just don’t know where that comes from
why do they owe you an explanation for their game design?

Payment does not entitle you to design reasoning.

You’re throwing the word “entitled” around as if it’s unreasonable to want better communication from the devs.

Just because you want something doesn’t mean you feel entitled to it.

The reason is very simple.

It would be like an adult trying to explain to a 6 year old why they can’t eat cake and candy for supper

OP does, he was specific. We’re in that thread

they do communicate. are you blind?

Yall burned that bridge a long time ago.
