I have a 70 Hunter with a 65 pet. if we can level our toons in bgs why cant I level my pet?

Actually if you go kill mobs in AV you’ll get pretty good XP thanks to the boost. The higher level mobs at the back of caves are the best.

-I encourage it and do it. Ever since Blizzard wrongfully suspended/robbed me a while back then left me to rot with the useless support; I no longer care about respecting BGs. They also allow useless low levels into our BGs, although sadly enough, those are often better than the boosts we don’t want either. So, ya, I do what I want, and so does everyone else. If you don’t like it, you need to form your own raid.

-This is actually true, as far as Blizzard is concerned. That is why we don’t get suspended farming mobs at a cave or mine. If Blizzard didn’t want you to fight them, they’d simply delete the mobs from the game. They could also delete the XP/silver, which amounts to the same thing, but they didn’t do that either. If a mob rewards you for killing it, a player is left to assume it’s ok to do that.
Ok grinding mobs, but I want to get xp for him while PVPing. When we win bgs we get XP, so our pets should too.

Mine actually goes up extremely slowly in BGs so maybe he is getting some xp?
in av at 70, my 65 pet does no get any xp. perhaps because i cannot get xp, but that shouldnt be how it is. we should be able to level them in pvp !

That is encouragement to participate in AV, killing the mobs is participation.
Because the xp you get in BGs is like quest xp. Pets only gain xp from kills, but PvP kills never give honor.
Killing the mobs in the back of the harpy cave is not participation. Shoo, troll.
Why did the devs put them in then? If you cannot answer honestly then I believe the only troll is you.
Because they were originally meant as a minor obstacle for players doing the trinket quest. You go in there once, do the quest, and then you’re done with the harpy cave. Suggesting that people go in there to just grind mobs (for their pets none-the-less) is not participation.
Doing the quest for the trinket so that you can easily return to your base is participation and I would never get upset at someone for doing the quest if all they do is do the quest and then get out of there.
Also, this was more of a response for people who might not know. I’m not directing it at you because anyone can take one look at your post history and know you’re a troll who just jumps on popular topics and purposely gives bad takes. You already know that killing harpies isn’t participating, but you’re purposely going out of your way to say otherwise.
